You could also try setting the 'Options->Emulation Setup->Emulation Speed, LCD Refresh' dropdown to one of the slower options and then possibly resetting the game for the change to take effect.I have now the opposite problem that I had months ago...I'm playing LoZ: PH and I really need to slow down the emulator...I have everything in the best quality and it still works very fast, is there any way of slowing ir down a bit??Thankss

For your Pokemon EmeraldVersions before 2.6a do not have an autodetect savetype function and therefore need to be set manually in 'Options->Emulation Setup->NDS cartidge backup media'. For your pokemon Diamond it could be that game is waiting for sound feedback which is not emulated due to 'Options->Emulation Setup->Sound Output Mode' being set to 'none'.The sound needs to be turn on when you enter a battle.hi...i have a problem...i played the pokemon emerald using the no$gba emulator once and it worked...and i saved the snapshot...i closed it,and the next time i tried to open it i suceeded in running the program and it asked me to select the rom i want to run,but after that it just come up with a black screen and did not load,so i alt tab and tab back and it says not responding,so i was thinking that is my computor lagging, but no..i tried again and wait even longer...i could not press anything like the files and settings and so on...i can only click the 'X' button,so i redownloaded(the emulator from a different site, but still the same emulator) it and it is still the same...so i thought is is a problem with my rom and i redownloaded it...but it still did not work,so i thought maybe there is a bug now and cannot support gba game i downloaded pokemon diamond and it still did not work...so what to do now?

Try No$Zoomer or NGZoom, such utilities improve the performance of the NDS emulation, including the prevention of such black screens (details on their download are on the first post as always).no..i mean it does not load after i select diamond to run...it just go into 2 black screen like the normal ds emulators and just freeze there

Pardon me but i read the first thread and doesnt seem to see anything of DeSmuME..could u give me information? How about NGZoom/No$Zoomer? Since you're at it you might as well try both. At least one of them should work for you, if you did download the No$gba from DGEmu.Alternatively, just try using the latest SVN version of DeSmuME. Your computer needs to be able to run SSE/SSE2 first, so if you have an old computer you won't be able to run it, otherwise it's worth giving it a try. (you will get 2 .exe files, try using "DeSmuME_VS2008_x64_sse2.exe" first, if it does not work use "DeSmuME_VS2008_x64.exe". If both of them don't work, you probably cannot run SSE/SSE2)

No$gba doesn't have savestat support? You could try to delete the savestat? Or rename the rom. That would solve that (possible) problem too.The first time I tried using a savestat, I got a black screen too.hi...i have a problem...i played the pokemon emerald using the no$gba emulator once and it worked...and i saved the snapshot...i closed it,and the next time i tried to open it i suceeded in running the program and it asked me to select the rom i want to run,but after that it just come up with a black screen and did not load,so i alt tab and tab back and it says not responding,so i was thinking that is my computor lagging, but no..i tried again and wait even longer...i could not press anything like the files and settings and so on...i can only click the 'X' button,so i redownloaded(the emulator from a different site, but still the same emulator) it and it is still the same...so i thought is is a problem with my rom and i redownloaded it...but it still did not work,so i thought maybe there is a bug now and cannot support gba game i downloaded pokemon diamond and it still did not work...so what to do now?

The one we have linked to in our download is the newest.Hello. I want to know is there a DS emulator that's newer than No$GBA 2.6? Like 2.7 or something?

The amount of lag depends on how fast your computer is. There are also some settings for no$gba to go faster, to change them load a rom with no$gba and go to options--> emulation setup. A new window will pop up and you can change the settings, the upper-left drop-down box that says "Emulation Speed, LCD Refresh has some speed settings for the emulator, meddle a bit around with it and see the results, but you can also change the Sound Output mode to Digital mono, or even none, another sound setting that improves performance is Sound Desired Sample Rate, which will reduce the sound quality at lower Hz but will also increase performance. If you want to use features that use the microphone there's a really easy way to do this (without getting audacity like the first post says, I'll change that later on). Just go to your taskbar and double-click the speaker, you'll get into volume control. Now go to options--> properties. A new window will open and you will see two round buttons, playback and recording. Select recording and make sure that stereo mix is checked in the list below and hit ok. You'll return to the window with the options changed, go to stereo mix and check the box select at the bottom, this way every sound your computer generates will be recorded, but no$gba will also see it as a microphone. Now start up no$gba start up some music, or something else and see if it works.Edit: The method I mentioned only works up to XP without installing software, if you have vista or up, you may need to update the driver of your sound cardIs it possible to play spectrobes without the mic? And does it tend to lag easily?

It sounds like the save file was corrupt. It does happen sometimes with the emulator. The save file most likely is lost. You will have to start from the beginning. Also it might be a good idea to backup your files every so often to prevent this.About 6 months ago I was Playing Kirby Canvas Curse (on No$gba v2.6a). At the time I had played it on multiple occasions, and the game would save and load fine. Now, earlier today I loaded the game, and it wouldn't allow me to continue, only start a new game. At first I thought maybe I had accidentally deleted the .SAV file, but when I looked in my Battery folder, it was still there. I tried reloading the game and same thing occured. When I tried other games, none of them had this problem, they all still loaded fine. Is this a known problem? (I've read the FAQs and have seen no mention, but due to this topics length I haven't sifted through it) Or if not does anyone know how to fix this? For example a way to force the save to load, or just something as simple as moving or copying the file?Sorry for the long post, and I appologize if this has been answered in this topic already. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me.
