i prefer to have a half balanced team lol... if that counts... sometimes it takes too long just too level each one so it would be easier to have only some of them strong instead of all.

I like to have both, one really strong character, while all the others are equal. such with the final fantasy games, since your stuck with one character all game and you can't switch them out, i make (for instance FF VII) cloud my strongest, with usually vincent and red backing him up

having a star team member is cool and all, and you get bragging rights because of it (i beat so-and-so with only 1 guy!) but it kind of makes having a team useless in the 1st place. also, in the long run, every1 else on the team suffers because the star gets so much attention that the others are neglected, and that's almost never a good thing. a small balanced team that covers all its weaknesses is best. an individual always has its strengths and weaknesses; even if the strengths pwn everything in sight, the weaknesses are always there, and something will eventually come along to exploit that weakness. better to cover all bases so that you're prepared for anything. same thing in life too.

Depending on how a game is played, I'd go for either one, but I'd prefer to have all of them about the same, just maxxed out as much as possible...

i prefer to have multiple characters so you can customize your battle play and your own strategy that works best for you, like if youve ever played orphen youd realize that without the multiple characters youd be smeared all over a wall by someone with umpteen more levels than you have while they themselves have their own crew backing them up every time you get a second breathe so you can return a blow or two!

I just give all the stat items to my main char. usually. Unless it's for magic and that char is crap at it.

i make the main character strong so then i can put the weak ones in front of me and i would attack the boss and run back to the middle of my weak team mates

Do you guys prefer to have a balanced team in terms of stats or 1 super strong character with all the stat enhancing items all pumped into this 1 character?

It depents on many things. For exaple if you are playing a D&D game then you will have to rise specific atats because it will be very difficult later with balanced stats exaple: You have a Druid (my favurite) if you don't rise his /hers wisdom then you will not be able to use the most powerful magic later and the stats that you are given have a limit. On the other hand when I'm playing an MMORPG then I rise the stats that my character is weak at (of course without forgeting my most important ones) so I will be able to surprise my enemy :)I always prefer the balanced stats but only when I can.

I prefer a balanced team, but occasionally I'd like character with super strong on one thing and lag on the others.

It depends on the type of game. If we're talking something like Pokemon I try to have a balanced team, but with one Pokemon that's really strong for backup purposes. For games like Final Fantasy I like to have a balanced team, especially if you have to use certain characters at some point. As for strength vs. magic, I usually prefer strength over magic. There are times when the opposite is true though.

if you tank up just one guy, then as the game progresses, the whole team will suffer.

I always preffer a balanced team, but always go for the attack, and never defense... no too much strategy but plain attacks.

I like to keep my main strong, but the others are like 2 levels behind. I dont want them to be any more seperated than that. That would get me into treouble with hard obsticles lolI learned my lesson in pokemon Saphire ....dang you May....
