Can I follow that guide without any worries? Because it says it's for DS-Xtreme and I have M3 mini SD.

Posted Imageall you really need to do is click on the model of flash cart you are using, you see the box that says M3? this program is for all of these flash carts you just need to select what one to install drivers for.

Hey guys, i have a problem with running homebrews on my M3 Lite + MK4 Key, for some reason, i can never run any, no matter what method (use the gamemanger or just drag and drop) i try. I have tried DSOrganize2.6 and Comic Book DS but none work. Can any one tell me if there is a problem with my MK4 Key or is there a seperate method to run homebrews on M3 Lite.

there is another program you need to install and run, the gamemanger is lol for games, there is a separate program for homebrew.Step 1: Download both files and put them into a folder.http://chishm.drunke...itool-win32.ziphttp://chishm.drunke...loads/m3sd.dldiStep 2: Run dlditool32.execlick on the first tab on the upper right hand side and select m3sd.dldiclick on the second tab and select the homebrew program you want to patch to run on M3Click on Patch Button on the bottom left.Step 3.: Your homebrew program is now patched to run on your M3, select the patched file and drag it into your sd card.

i seem to recall there maybe being a button in the M3 simply to boot slo 2 games. but i dont have one so could be wrong. however with my flashed ds and M3 (slot 2) if i hold down select while turning on my ds it will boot to the ds menu automatically and then i sleect boot gba game. try it

Well, the M3 simply does have a second slot boot button which doesnt work with any of firmware's, the select button trick doesnt work as well. Thanks for trying to help.I made some research and i found the solution, u need a file that specially boots the gba slot, and it's as simple as starting any ds rom, if anyone having the same issue as me, here's the link, is a small file not even 1mb, it sends u to a green screen, there you just select start game and it boots as it should.GBA boot tool

Most of the homebrew programs work fine on my M3 without patching. I'd use moonshell to start it up, however im not sure if the new version let you start .nds files anymore

Hey guys, i think i read somewhere if i can remember reading something about a new flash cart that is gonna be released by M3 (not M3DS Simply), Is it true because i was thinking of getting another slot one card but wanted to know whether there is another newer one coming.I dont see any new features that can be added to a slot one card, i mean its certain that you can not run gba games on them and other than that, the slot one solutions (R4/M3DS Simply) do every thing that the previous versions of M3 (like my M3Lite) have. So, is there really another slot one flash-cart/solution being released by M3?

I'd try reuploading it to the SD card using the software. Sometimes that works for me. Then again bear in mind not every game runs stable on our little homebrew kits.

I have a m3 perfect. I had to format the mini SD card a couple of weeks ago and since then only about 1 out of 10 games will play on it, even games I could play b4 I formatted wont play now. I upgraded to the V32 from m3 and tried the settings that wikipedia said to use and still no games. Any ideas? ThanksPlus what files do I need on the card for everything to run? I feel like i have forgotten something.

I have a quick question, sorry if it was already covered but I didn't see anything browsing through with ctrl+fAnyway, is it at all possible to use save data from an emulator on an M3? (I have M3 Mini-SD). I took my Phoenix Wright file, converted it to .dat with M3savetool and dropped it into my SD card's NDSSAVE folder over the other data it made for PW but when I boot the game I only have the option for a New Game. I would assume I'm doing something wrong or its just not possible.

did u have the save file be the same name as the rom? also in M3 before booting up the game u need to sleect to use that save file if the one that game manager gives u is there

Its quite possibleIf you read through the M3 Save manager section in the first post you can transfer your save file to your M3.1. Open game manager2. Browse your Card (SD,CF etc) and find your Phoenix Wright Rom3. Double click it or right click it and select save manager4. Click on your save file (should be only one in the sub window)5. If your save file from the emulator is .sav the click the "Write .Sav" button.6. Browse your computer to your Emulator save file and open it.7. After the game manager comes up with the write done alert. take out your card and stick it in your M3 and your M3 game should continue from your last save point from your emulator save file

Slight problem, when I bring up the Saver Manager only Create Saver and Create Blank work. Clicking any of the other buttons does nothing at all for some reason (if Write or write.sav would work then I wouldn't be having problems in the first place)Any alternate methods I could use to get this save over? I only tried dragging the .dat I made, would dragging and dropping the .sav be any different? And yes my filenames match perfectly. When I tried booting the .dat I put in the M3 it overwrote that file with its newfile when I loaded.

1st, let me say this forum is AWESOME. It’s helped me wade through a lot of info that I was having a hard time getting, as I'm new to flash carts.2nd, advance apologies if this is slightly redundant and/or off topic. I think I have what I need pinned down, but I'd like to verify my info. Please point out any mistakes in the following:I want to be able to play NDS roms on my NDSL as well as GBA roms and emus/roms for older systems so I need to get a SLOT 2 CART w/ some sort of Pass Key.Since I do have an NDSL (plain white not one of the newer color models) I need to get the Lite version of the cart and 3rd gen passkey. As near as I can tell M3 is the best (i.e. highest compatibility rate) flashcart for playing GBA & NDS roms so I would need to get either the M3 Lite or M3 Lite Pro. I've read in several places that M3 Lite Pro WILL play GBA roms, but only if they are less that 32 Mbit (4Mbyte). Other sites have emphatically stated that M3LP will NOT play GBA roms at all. Which is right? And does the 32Mb rule only apply to GBA roms or also to NDS roms or roms for any emulated systems I may want to add? Also regarding the 32Mb issue, I saw mention on another site (and then found some info about it on this one) a tool called GBATA (GBA Tool Advance) which as near as I can tell works a bit like DVD Shrink and will compress GBA roms to the appropriate size. Can anyone tell if they can successfully play GBA roms that were too big off an M3 Lite Pro on the NDS after using this tool?If the M3LP will play GBA roms trimmed w/ GBATA then I may as well save the $ off the more pricey M3L. Is there anything else I should know about differences between the 2?Thanks for all the help ^-^

http://gbatemp.net/i...showtopic=37063A review of M3L, might help you out some.Honestly I would say go for an M3L and make sure it comes with the slot 2, a passcard 3 and a card reader if you don't have one. And buy Micro-SD card from Amazon since their prices went down drastically on them recently (so instead of paying $40 for a 1 GB Micro-SD in a bundle pack at most sites you could get a 1GB for $10 at amazon with ~$6 shipping)You should be able to get the Lite, passcard and reader for ~$100-110, while most bundle packs I see that include the Sd card jump the price to ~$140-150

Well I have a Program that I used to use before the Save Manager was out. Its called M3 save tool, you use it to change files inside your .DAT file so it works with your ROM.If you can't find it PM me and I"ll email it to you

Thanks for the input. I had seen that review b4, but it doesn't say much about the M3LP. I'm trying to find out if it works as well as the regular M3L in tandem w/ GBATA for GBA > 32Mbit.

(U) specific dump is from a place I can't say apparently.I can get gba save files from emulators to work just fine but Phoenix doesn't want to. I haven't tried other DS games though.Where do you want me to upload my save file?
