When you download the m3 game manager pack.1. Put updategc.XXX or Updagcsd.xxx file into the root directory of your CF/SD card.2. Insert the cf/SD into the slot of M3 adapter.3. Boot the console with M3 adapter inserted.4. A massage will appear to ask you to install or bypass the installation procedures. (press "start" to install, press "A" bypass)Instructions from the readme. Thanks for the info lilaznkilla

when some has problem playing a game on M# like me (still can't get any GBA working), is it possible that the M3 has a chip that's not functioning? or partially nor working?

Going from what i've read there is a chance that there is a problem with your M3, although it's probly a either a problem with the software or the firmware. If you've exhausted every other resource then yes, there is a chance that the battery has run dry, or a chip ( I read somewhere that the m3 should last for 2 years, dunno if this is battery life or not) Best thing to do is if you know someone who has one get them to try it, if not then contact your seller and ask them about the fault, they will more than likely identify the problem for you and solve it.

yeah, i'm going to try it on my friend's M3. the thing is, the battery should not affect the M3. but it's possible that it has the firmware upgrade has problem?also, my DS Lite is NEW, can it be a new version of the DS that might limited the M3? the only game i want to play with GBA is Metal Slug Advance. i hope there is a regular Metal Slug for DS, and i would not care if my M3 can play GBA or not.

beside the GBA problem, i found out another issue i'm having.as you all know, you can host a game in Wifi, and other players can download the game even they don't have it.but the thing is, all the DS can download the game, but once it starts, the game froze and disconnect from host. any one have this problem?

The DS that downloads games must be flashed so that it can play the downloaed game. For the GBA problem, might I ask what version is your M3 now. If you do not know then go to settings on th M3 and press select then pick update info, right now the most current version is 30c

I don't think M3's or any other flashcarts are sold in stores in Australia, I'd suggest you start your search in those small game shops or import stores, or maybe at the markets. If you have a bank account you can use paypal to buy online by transfering money from your bank to your paypal.

The original poster said he wasn't sure if the M3 Lite cartridge will fit in the old Nintendo DS. But I just bought the M3 Lite and it comes with several extra cartridges. I think one of them fits the old DS because I just tried it. (:

For download play to work with a M3 the DS that downloads the games needs to be flashed. If the DS isn't flashed you end up with a white screen or something. For your problem with GBA, I can't really think of anything wrong. Try asking around in the M3's forum

Zac1000 how do I install the latest firmware on my M3?Well I installed the latest firmware and did that thing but while Yoshi Island works now, FF3 still doesn't work. I didn't try the other games that weren't working but I'll try them later. I deleted the games from the memory card and put them there again with 4DMA but I didn't find anything saying Force R/W.

Here is how to get FF3 to work on the ds with an m3. 1. Open up the m3 gamemanager.2. Select your sd or your minisd drive in the left side.3. On the right side click WRITE NDS FILE.4. A window will pop up. There you should select these settings:4xDMA, TRIM ROM, FORCE R/W (Last one is important)

Good news everybody. V31 is out now and has much better (and easier) support for all the newest games. You don't even need to set Force R/W for stuff like Castlevania Portrait of Ruin (WHICH WORKS WITHOUT A HITCH)!

I bought this bundle: M3 mini SD, Passcard 3, Kingston 1GB miniSD, (mini)SD/MMC reader. I was very happy with it until Saturday when I had the first problem. I turned it on and selected the Passcard3 has always to play a NDS game. But when I was clicking it there there was no GBA game in the GBA slot (I saw it in the last second so I still selected Passcard3). It obviously didn't work and I turned it off. When I turned it on again I got the same. I turned it off and took out both the Passcard3 and the M3 and inserted them again. It was working and I played a few times in that day.But yesterday when I tried playing again it got to the part where it says it's not licencied and that stuff by Nintendo and it wouldn't go any further. I tried countless times after taking both the M3 and the Passcard3 out and inserting them again. Then I tried without the Passcard3 to see if I could play a GBA game. I selected the M3 and said something like this: the latest update is not the English version please install the English version. Only today I got the chance to do it so I downloaded the latest update in English but when I try updating by selecting the Passcard3 it never gets past the sreen saying Updating... and when I tried selecting the M3 after I while I do get the Updated. Please press A but nothing happens when I press A. Sometimes when I turn the DS on it says that there's no DS game in there, other times it says there's no GBA game in there and a few times it said that there wasn't neither a DS or a GBA game.Note that I had update a few days ago because some games wouldn't work and it was all fine until Saturday but mainly yesterday. I have a normal DS and before this problem ocurred when I updated I deleted the downloaded file from the root of the memory card. The card is also almost full (about 10 or 11 MB free space). What could be the problem? Please this is very important. If you can help me I'll be very thankful.

Have you checked whether or not the slots were clean, and have you tested other ds games? Also which roms did you try out, and how much space did you use, the m3 probably needs some free space for RAM I think. Also, how do you update the M3, my one is in chinese, and I can't read it at all.

Well I sent some air with my mouth to the slots (don't know how it's said in English lol). I don't have any chance to try any rom because this happens before I reach the menu of the M3. I'll try freeing up some space later. To update go to the oficial site, then downloads and they explain how to update it.

it sounds as if it cant read from your card, dont forget to defragment the card when you can, i know on mine, the game slows down if i dont deframent it once in a while, so that might be the problem.

I remembered that sometimes when I turn the DS on I just get both screens white and nothing more. I deleted FF3 which is over 100Mb and I still have the problem. I'll try now with some original games to see if it works.EDIT: Original games seem to be working fine.

Thanks! >.< Now I'll be able to fully understand how to use my flash cart when I finish downloading it (it takes ages, are their servers located in China?).Oh yeah, and the expulsion of air from your lungs is blow (past tense blew).Edit: I just realised this got merged with the m3 user's guide thread - does anyone know how to update the moonshell software (extend) in the flash cart, I would like to change the skin, and it's also all in chinese.

To change the skin of the moonshell (extend) version, you need a folder called System I believe, not sure on what files you put in to change it though. If your M3 gets stuck on the Not Licenced Nintendo thing it means it not detecting your Card, this happenned to my M3 when I firsted got it, Heres how I fixed it.1. Run your M3 in GBA mode and let it save to file file in its SRAM. After this run it again in NDS mode and it should be fine.2. Backup all the files on your card, format it and put everything back on, then run your M3 on your DS
