Actually Marel isn't only about superheroes. I don't feel like giving examples right now, but the point has been said and shot down multiple times already. So stfu. Also, I agree that the two aren't paralell, however, as I just stated, Marvel has a very wide range...very near that of manga, if not equal to it. So stfu. And for those that say the art in Manga is better? Let's see you draw Spiderman with the skill it takes the amazing artists of Marvel Inc. So stfu.THis ain't very fair.MARVEl is all about superheros, so you can only get so genre diverse.Manga is incorporating so many genres.Anyway I go for Manga, never was really interested in superheroes MARVEL style anyway, and if it is picked correctly Manga has awesome story lines, etc.

Can you please restate those point then for those of us who didn't read through the entire thread? Whatever the evidence, I'm pretty sure that as a generalization, Marvel can be said to publish mostly superhero based manga, many based in the same fictional world. As the variety, you definitely hasn't tried enough genres, does any marvel series have the main character as a male prostitute? Does any of them involve incest? Does any of them focus exclusively on the interpersonal relationships of ordinary people? I don't know what imprints marvel has, but even consider vertigo (an imprint of DC), there is still less variety in American graphic novels. And aesthetics is subjective, it's can't be used to form objective judgments, I don't even know why you're using spiderman as an example, lots of different artists have drawn spiderman before, some were good, some not so good, what does that prove?Since there is a greater quantity of manga series, there is a greater variety of artwork, occasionally some of them are exceptional. And saying "shut the **** up" isn't an argument, it's an attempt to divert the conversation, come up with something better if you wan to prove your point.Actually Marel isn't only about superheroes. Wow, someone who can actually hold an argument. Okay, if you're too lazy to look back a couple pages, I'd be more than happy to give you examples. And btw, stfu is to those that haven't made an argument, only stated an opinion, and an opinion that has been stated multiple times on the same page. Stfu isn't my argument, it's my rebuttal. I also understand that aesthetics are subjective, however stating that Manga is blatently drawn better than Marvel comics is an outrageous claim, one which cannot be backed up. That's not an argument either.Okay, to approach your questions on the variety and examples of Marvel other than that of Superheroes...not to mention the fact that their strange tales series has nothing to do with superheroes most often (although that was where the birth of Spiderman and the Fantastic 4 took place), it also holds a variety of different stories in itself. I don't actually read it, but it's usually full of mystery and suspense, as well as some odd tales. I noticed you mentioned such things as male prostitutes and incest. My reply to that is that Marvel is PG13, and therefore does not support pornography in any format. But there are some that focus on interpersonal relationships of ordinary people. Be you not satisfied with the interpersonal relationships of Spiderman, then you could look at such Graphic Novels as XIII, Dark Tower, or Criminal.I'm not goint to end this one in stfu, don't worry. I'd actually rather just hear your response, considering you actually post, rather than just spam. Can you please restate those point then for those of us who didn't read through the entire thread? I've never heard of strange tales myself, but from wiki it appears that most of it does deal with superheros and most it was published decades ago.As for the PG13 content, that's why I was asking whether marvel had any good imprints, but I don't see anything that is even close to vertigo. And a lot of manga focus exclusively on romance, I'm not saying that I particularly like them, but they are more distinguished in that particular genre because of the quantity and quality of the material that's published. One of the things that I really do like about marvel would be the ultimate universe, the setting puts a lot more focus into how people deal with each other, like having Captain America experience culture shock after waking up many decades into the future, or seeing the Hulk letting out his repressed homosexual/homophobic rage. If there's more series along the lines of that, marvel would definitely improve, in my opinion at least.Wow, someone who can actually hold an argument. Nah, that's not really manga, it's drawn mostly by Ben Dunn apparently. I put it down after reading the first ten pages. If want a real manga/marvel crossover, read Wolverine: Snikt!, drawn and written by Tsutomu Nihei (one of my favorite manga artists by the way).Well, many Marvel comics are now in Manga lol. Ever heard of the Marvel Mangaverse?
