I beat him twiceone in the jap version at level 98!& one in the american version at level 54 cuz I have better weapons..!

Haha. I overprepared a little bit and beat him at level.99 using Ultima Weapon. I thought it would be harder than it was. It was REALLY hard helping my level.40 friend beat him though.

Took me a crap load of try just to beat him, I had to master all form and have the ultimate weapon to win. After like a bunch of tries, he start to become kinda predictable and you start to know some ways to counter most of his moves.

I dunno if i am noob or wat.. but every1 juz sound so pro but i remember when i defeated him in beginner mood i defeat him at lvl 78 with oblivion and oathkeeper(nice pair of weapons) normal i used the same pair of weapon but lvl 82 and finally expert i defeat at lvl 99 total ownage all my skill learned even glide and all and forced to use my ultima weapon to defeat him took ALOT tries

I haven't beat him yet, but I did get him to something like an inch of green left using Bond of Flame(my favorite). I didn't know you could use forms, however. Maybe now I'll beat him.Quick note- I found its better to stay in the air as long as you can while fighting him, as to stay on the ground seem suicide. His combos are ground based, aren't they? Hes easier to hit in the air.

I can't recall my level, I think it was somewhere in the level 60-70 area. I do recall that he was a lot easier than he was in Kingdom Hearts 1, only took me three tries to take him down, the third try went really smoothly.

I did manage to beat him (after numerous tries). He does leave an opening after most of his attacks so combo and then trinity him.

yes it is possible to defeat sephiroth in KH-2 even in "Proud Mode" and personally he's a lot easier this time round than in the original KH, but if you wish to have the easy way out try this method:you will need the abilities trinity limit and beserk charge as a) trinity limit does great damage even if the others arent there, and B) since trinity limit wastes all your mp beserk charge allows for an endless number of combo hits so with these 2 abilities as soon as the fight starts press triangle as soon as you can as this happens everytime, activate trinity limit and press triangle till your limit gauge is empty, as soon as thats over press X as much as possible so beserk begins... also you might remember a very annoying technique the sin heartless where all your health and mp drop to zero, just make sure to press triangle after he cast it as he follows up with another break attack, one way to pass this is to time a curaga so when it hits you, you heal otherwise run like crap and use a hi-potion or elixer and remember you cant finish him with a beserk attack as like many bosses you need a finisher combo attack (last attack) or just use trinity limit however for this to be really easy you will need the ultima weapon due to the almighty "mp hastega" ability so you can use trinity limit more often (note trinity limit makes you invincible during time you use it) or cast curaga if needed ... also the good thing about obtaining the ultima weapon is that while collecting all the items you also can level up therefore making the fight easier and if possible level the wisdom drive form until you get quick run level anything as it can help you move away from him kinda like dodge roll in the good old days.
