Has anyone gotten Pokemon or Brother in Arms DS to work on the MMD? If so, how?Oops, I just saw you reply, Mr. Pister. No the Ds browser won't work without a memory expansion, so I don't think it'll run...

search next time tuddy posted how here.http://www.dgemu.com...w...7290&st=105(You will a donor cart with a big save such as nintendo dogs)

Thanks, but I don't have a donor cart for it. Is the donor cart necessary to make it work, cause I can't get it to even start, save or no...

Real quick, on SNEmulDS, I have a ROM for SimCity, which unfortunately doesn't save. The Save State doesn't work, and the in-game save doesn't work. Has any one else experienced this? From what I understand, this isn't normal. Any help appreciatedEDIT: Never mind. If anyone else runs into this problem, I fixed it by renaming my save file to perfectly match the name of the ROM. Saves & loads beautifully now

Can .srt files be used for movies on the MMD? If so, how?FYI: These are subtitle files for video files that are separate from the video file.

you must splice the two files before you convert them to dpg, its very simple to insert text into a video, although it really depends on your available fonts.

the saves from game faqs will only work for donor cart games if you have a Max Drive DS.Also, for games without donor carts, you'll need to download 'em from dualscene and replace the current save with the *.sav file from there. However, you may need to rename your rom and patch in this case.

you can use .sav files but if the game requires a donor card you need to use a program to put it on the card, i used EEpinator and it works really well.

...Did you read the directions at the start of this thread? >_>Next, do you have a CF card in your Max Media Dock? You DO know that they are useless until you put one in, right? Right? Here are the simplified directions:1. GET ROM2. CONVERT ROM (Use Max Overload)3. PUT ROM ON DS (On your Max Media Dock)4. PLAY ROM (through Max Overload on your DS)I find myself quite annoyed at the lack of attention paid to the start of this thread.... >_<YES THIS (Max Overload) LETS YOU PLAY ROMS ON YOUR DS. THAT IS ITS PURPOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

actuall its not, this was made purely to play videos and homebrew, people hacked it to play ds roms, but lost interest, so technically it does not support roms it was hacked too, that is why its is difficult and hard to save and lots of games dont work.

First boot up your MMD with the Max Media Player cartridge. Once Max Overload is booted remove the Max Media Player cartridge from the DS slot and place the Super Mario 64 DS cartridge in the slot. Now select the New Super Mario Bros. ROM from the list and load it. Now, all of your game play for the New SMB rom will be saved the the Super Mario DS cartridge.

I tried this with Pokemon Diamond, and it didn't work until I tried swapping carts BEFORE I boot Max Overload. Just thought I'd point that out...I downloaded, patched, and played Pokemon Diamond, Megaman ZX, and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Once I tried to boot max overload after downloading and patching Castlevania, it would stay on the "Building File List" (or something like that) page. The dotted lines going around the DS on the top screen would keep moving, but it would never display the ROMs. Can anyone help diagnose and fix this problem?Oh, and with some games, I'll accidentally choose the wrong options for patching (i.e. not disabling turbo load) and then delete the .PAT file and patch again. Could that be the cause of the problem?

Less than a minute.

or, for a more "exact" estimate- my comp (with 512MB ram and a 1.6GHZ processor) takes around 1-2 seconds per game it patches.

Okay, I have Max Overload, and I patched all my ROMs. I go to open MO, and... nothing. It just says "Building File List" and doesn't do anything. Is there any way to fix this?

You'll need a "donor cart" of the same save type. Remove the slot 1 firmware bypass after you get to the root of the card on your DS, then insert another game card with that save type. Once this is complete, boot max overload, and run the game. It should now work.BTW, I have gotten BIA:DS and Pokemon Pearl to work with the NDS Web Browser Slot-1 card as a donor. CRA runs with that in, but it cannot save...

if anyone was curious, i got Hotel Dusk 215 to work by disabling the save patch and then inserting the donor cart BEFORE clicking on Max Overload.nds. Maybe this method will work for other games too?? i kept getting an error shortly after the game started when i inserted the donor AFTER clicking the MO.nds icon. But when i inserted it before selecting the MO.nds it worked flawlessly. don't know why, but it didi hope this helps. if anyone tests this method and successfully gets other games to work, let me know!

got to: http://forums.maxcon...ead.php?t=69169An new MMD romloader called MAXCRASSMETHOD.This fixes the Donor cart problems~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HERES AN README fileMax Crass Method-By Crass (Iapetus), Go185, YourKami*~I DO NOT TAKE ANY CREDIT IN THE MAKING OF THIS. CREDITS ARE LISTED AT THE BOTTOM. DO NOT COMPLAIN IF I MISSED ANYONE; BECAUSE I DIDN'T. ALL THE OTHER CREDITS ARE LISTED IN DSLAZY'S AND MAXIMUM OVERLOAD'S READMES.~*What is the Max Crass MethodThe Max Crass Method (MCM) allows the Max Media Dock to play much more ROMs than before. Until now the MMD could only play about 3 out of 10 ROMs. With the MCM it can now play about 8 out of 10. Some tested ROMs that work are Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Final fantasy 3, and Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. The MCM has another function as well. It completley eliminates the need of Donor Cards. I believe that this new method is a huge step for the Max Media Dock, and will help out many people. How to play any ROM desired1.) Extract the entire .zip file to any location you desire.2.) Copy the arm7.bin that was included with this package.3.) Find the Backup you want off the net.4.) Open the DSLazy folder and run the DSLazy.exe file. (NOTE: THIS REQUIRES MICROSOFT'S .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS, DOWNLOAD NOW.)5.) Browse for your unworking ROM using the '...' button at the top left of DSLazy.6.) Press the unpack game button (Second rightmost button, but keep DSLazy up)7.) Wait till it unpacks everything; leave the window it popped up open.8.) Paste the arm7.bin file that you copied from this package. Allow it to rewrite the one that was in the new window.9.) Now, back on DSLazy, press the 'repack' button. (Far right button)10.) Save the file as whatever you wish. This will be the .nds file that will work on your MMD.11.) Open up the Max Overload 1.2 patcher.Patch the file you saved as you would a regular .nds file.12.) Put your .nds and .PAT file onto your MMD. You run MO on the MMD, and ta-da! You can run whatever game you couldn't before. How to play any game without a Donor card1.) Get ready the game that cannot be played without a donor.2.) Find out the file type of that game. Go onto some ROM site, and download a nds game of the same file type, but make sure that game will work on the MMD without a donor.3.) Go to DSLazy.exe program.4.) Browse for the file you downloaded in step 2, using the '...' button.5.) Press the unpack button. (Second rightmost button)6.) When the new window opens, copy the arm7.bin file that is located there.7.) Close the window and go back to DSLazy.8.) Browse for the original file that did not work without a donor. (Just press the '...' button.)9.) Press the unpack button.10.) When the window pops up, paste the arm7 file you copied, overwriting the one in the new window.11.) Close the new window and repack. Now patch the file like you would normally with MO. It will run just like it would with a donor-- except this time--- WITHOUT the donor!CREDITSGo185- He was the general founder of the Method.RatX-- The developer of DSLazy. Without him, we wouldn't be able to do this.Crass-- He brought the DSLazy program the Maxconsole forums. It led us to discover how to work all this. Thus, we named this method after him.yourKami-- He got a streak luck and discovered which ROM was needed to make all the type 4 games work.
