I like them both, it depends how I feel. Most of the time I don't feel like putting so much energy into moving for DDR, so I don't bother. I find it weird how Guitarfreaks was never as popular in North America as Guitar Hero is now. It's essentially the same thing but with less buttons, and it's been around for as long as DDR.

Guitar Hero hands down. DDR gets boring after awhile, Guitar Hero always a fresh challenge. Not to mention the songs are a lot better.

Both of these games are great I guess you could say that the way you can play both games determines who likes what. I personally like DDR myself because I can get a good workout.

Guitar Hero is better for me because I can play guitar in real life, so it's much easier! And it's less energetic...though both have a poor selection of songs.

DDR's better because there's better music and it keeps you moving.

DDR gets me more involved in the game, not to mention it's more of a work out. Guitar Hero is amazingly good, but I don't think it is as challenging or fun as DDR.Also, I'm about to get a DDR game for PS2 - any suggestions as to which one i should pick up?

Guitar Hero. It's not quite like playing real guitar, but close enough. The music is insanely better as well. oh, and i'm completely self concious about dancing.
