I was not a fan of FF X-2, and I really found FF VIII to be a huge disappointment, my biggest worry is that Enix will be more of an influence in FF games from now on. Square does have it's reputation to think of, and I haven't been impressed with Enix in the past with their RPGs.. That being said, I would like to see FFXII as a reinvention of Square and bring a whole new level of gameplay and be something that'll carry Square over for a while. I just want them to continue producing quality games.

FF12 seems great but the only thing is that Vaan looks quite gay! I wanna see super cool summons and cool limit breaks, plus i hope you get to actually control the airship this time unlike in FFX!

The reason you didnt have airship control in FFX was because if you didnt notice, there is no WORLD screen. You just travel through the different locations of the world, rather than cruising a world screen, trying to find where your going next. Come to think of it, thats another think FFX had different than any other FF title, no actual world to walk around on.Has anybody seen what the world looks like in 12 yet? Cause if they do the same thing as in 10, then your probably wont be able to control an airship.

And another thing about final fantasy x, it was the first final fantasy game, where the people actually had actors playing their voices, instead of just boring old captions!

I don't really mind waiting for it, the more we wait, the better it'll be, cause we get more hyped, and the delay will be because of the improvements of the game.

In theory; doesn't always work out that way ;)

Well one thing for sure, there aint no 4 people party like in IX. just three, which is not a final fantasy original. the first game had a 4 person system. also i guess your party changes a lot, people come n go, n come back again. lol, wow training sure is gonna be fun if the absent characters dont get stronger like in FFVII. This game is also just going to be on one disc, and have surround sound options. Other than that, ive almost run out of things to say about this game. nothin else has really been released on the game. not even on the FFXII website has new stuff. so we just gotta wait...Also! To back up what i said in a post before, there is a video that looks as if you only control one person in battle. if it is what i saw, then there is gonna be some adjustin we all gonna have to do, cause this is a completely different battle system then any past FF title(other than tactics of course)

Maybe there was only one person in battle because of a summons or an overdrive move or something. We have to wait a bit more to find out all the details about the battle system. We should start getting more info any day now.

no no, what i meant was that you have your party of 3, but you only control one of em during a battle, the other two are auto, they choose and fight on their own.

no idea. i like ff for their battle systems. tryin to get each character to the max, with FFX-2 tryin to get combo's n everything. you probably can do that with 12,but it wont be as fun. and ull get pissed off cause the computer isnt doing what you want it to do. i think this battle system, if thats in fact what they did, is gonna be stressful and a pain in the donkey. dont do it square!on the flip side...its an rpg, so what better way to better an "RPG" than to involve you more with the role you are playing. that character you literally become. in battle, and obviously in the rest of the game. but wait, in one video your basch, in another, your vaan? WTF, do you get to pick what character you control?

surprisingly im not very hyped up about final fantasy 12..maybe its because of the lack of updates they're giving out.

Yeah, you do pick the character you control. But still i would want to control them all. I guess it speeds up battles as well.

Really though, would Square really do something as bad to both us and them as to make a game with a lot of hype, that's complete and utter crap?...No.Hmmmm... Final Fantasy X-2 (PS2), Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GCN), Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (SNES, maybe I stuffed up the name, but its the BADBADBAD SNES one, the only bad SNES one), Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (GB, its actually Seiken Denstesu 1 [sp?] but its called "Final Fantasy" and its by square).{Edited bit: Maybe I should have read more than the first page before posting}

Back up...those games (well the newer ones at least) were not bad. It is true that they were like a million times worse than FFVII, FFVIII and so on, but relative to other console RPGs, FF:CC and FFX-2 were pretty good games.

no, CC for the cube ventured WAY TOO FAR from what square puts into its FF series. Even tactics still held onto a lot of stuff that the main stream of the series had. FF12 looks like its gonna introduce a lot of new things, but still, keep in line with previous games. the only thing im a little iffy on, is the new battle system. thats the only thing i think might kill that overal game in my eyes.

Extremely excited about this game, putting 11 on the net only was a horrible idea, what about all us non-net players?

Maybe the battle system is like SO3 and you can switch between the party during the battle. That would be handy as hell, just like SO3. One thing that would be cool for these real time rpgs would be a co-op thing. If you were bored or something just invite a friend over and you could plug in and beat up on the enemy together and you could actually rely on your friend to heal you instead of mindlessly worrying about their own skin.
