I've had 2 cds blow up,taking the drive withfirst was fallout,which i played so many times and so longit blew up while i was getting the water chip from necropolis2nd was fifa 99again i was addicted to it,and it blew up in the middle of the matchworst part was the 2nd drive was a cd-rw

i was playing a game (forgot wich 1) and the CD exploded in my comp and i had to get a new 1...welll my parents did. They blammed it all on me, its not my fault the cd exploded.

wow thats amazing lol... never had one break apart that bad, but i did have one that started making all kinds of noise in the drive and when i popped it out, the thing was cracked from the center to the outside

I've never had any problems. I'm constantly burning/deleting/re-burning the same CD-RWs over and over at 48x and never had a single problem. Sure, after burning a few hundred MB onto them, they tend to be a bit hot, but nothings ever exploded. At least not.

yeb when my CD-Rom short circuited and then burned and burn my CD tooi realy like Dune2000 PC game ( 1998) and i know that finaly it will be burn beacause of the ...

somebody's comp once cracked a cd i lent them (jerkholes, yeah right the cd drive did it) so i decided to have fun. MAN did that old 48x cd drive explode in my backyard!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!

It never happened to me but it did to a friend of mine. He even took a picture of the scattered CD into the CD-ROM drive.But CD exploding happens usually with cheap, crappy CD disks, associated with violent spinning CD-ROM drives.

No I've never had a CD explode but I watched them do it on myth busters. They used a motor for a saw and revved it up to a bunch of RPMs in order to get it to shatter.

Yeah, in my old CD burner. It was a Sony CD-R (common low quality)... it exploded while being burned. Now I never buy Sony media

a friend of mine had an very old cdrom drive he put a cd in and the drive spinup (something was wrong cuz it was getting faster and faster ^^ also the cd was not the newest one(kinda distorded becuase of heat) and thenn bamm (iwas there) shrapnel in the drive

My friends CD exploded in his PC dvd drive bay. He was playing Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun when all of a sudden he heard a noise and shut down his computer...And then he figured out that the cd had exploded into little pieces. He just opened the drive and vacuumed it out and it was fine.

wow! that has never happened to me. i dont let my discs get scratched up though. when mine do, they quit working. thats gotta be some kind of record though!

Yeah, only once. It was a very old copy of Roller Coaster Tycoon. I put it into my laptop and next thing I hear is a loud squeaking noise coming from the drive. I open it up and it falls through the hole at the bottom of it.

once when i was trying out a game in my computer , while i was playing it my father called me for a minute , and when i came back the game CD exploded inside the drive and i had to buy a new drive .
