I think the hardest Pokemon to find were the Legendary Dogs becuase they would flee so much, or it was Jigglypuff on Ruby and Saphhire because I didn't know where to find it, it took me ages to finally found out where to get it.

I hated those dogs...finding them was a real pain to begin with. And when i did, i didnt know they fled easily - and i didnt have Mean Look or something like that handy 
The only troublesome thing about those birds was actually getting them to low health to catch them, as they made mince-meat out of lower level pokemon, but in turn died fairly easy against equal and stronger ones... I think i had to restart a dozen of times because of a unwanted critical hit killing the bird instead of barely leaving it alive...Thank god for False Swipe later on

I'll second that thought, Leor, but other than those dogs and the birds, I thought that catching Shiny pokemon took a lot of my time. They would be considered hard to FIND, but not to CATCH, I think...

The legendary dogs and latios/latias were the hardest pokemnon to find and catch, definitely.
Even with the announcement of new Halo projects, the principal trilogy won't be forgotten from our minds as fast as we may expect...

The Legendary Dogs in Gold/Silver/Crystal were hard. Try levelling a lvl 22 Noctowl with it first in the list and Entei shows up... frustrating... But the hardest? I'd say the Legendary Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire. Groudon took me a whilewith Ultra Balls...

i'm gonna have to say the legendary dogs. they move around so much and to actually encounter one in the same area is hard as well

The dogs in G/S/C (but onec you met them 1 time it was easy for me at least)And the legendary's in R/S (exeptialy raqua with ultra balls)For the rest i didn't had so much trouble.And for the shiny's I had VERY VERY VERY VERY lucky i breed an egg with charmader and it was a shiny.now it is an beautifull black charizard.Stosta

the legendary dogs arent so bad when u get the hang of it, i had a fast crobat to prevent them from fleeing and i kept going in and out of the ice cave until they wer on that road, i found the little island on that road a good place to find them...the same strategy worked on latios and latias.now for the hardest pokemon to catch... for me it had to be mew in the old pokemon red/blue you had to set up the cheat from start of the game so u can find him where unknown would be... then it was still a pain to catch him...

I'm going for Feebas; I encountered Lati@s twice before I even found his darn tile.
i do remember one thing.

lol, the funny thing is, I had such a hard time catching Abra back in the day because I thought I had to damage him first.. until my friend told me to just throw my pokeball at it....... >>

The hardest Pokemon to find was Latios/as,but the hardest Pokemon to catch wereJirachi,Deoxyis,Groundon,Kyogre,Mew,Rayquaza,Regiice,Regirock and Registeel!!

i found latios is quite easy to catch in the game,while those legendary dogs in gold and silver seems to be more difficult to be caught inall of the pokemon games

All the three legendary dogs from Silver and Gold version...Keep running before I can catch them. Ho-oh was hard, but I got him with my scizors (How do you write his name already?)

for me lugia is hard to catch. i can find him easly but if u dont wanna waste ur masterball then catching him with a ultraball is really hard especially since he nows recover.

I agree with feebas...I did caught it though. I learned that there were 3 or 4 spaces which had feebas in that lake, and I systematically searched all of them. I found it pretty fast though (around 30 tries ) and I cathed about 20 of them. Good business

Okay, okay. Remember G/S/C? Suicune. That thing eluded me for hours, and it took me six or so more days to finally catch up to it.
