For me it depend if the game has a nice evolving storry i will read it. Like this summon night games. They'r story is really cool. Well like most RPG games on gb there will be good storry but like with shooting games I don't think i will read the texts.

i have a very small attention span, so if i read what they said, i'd probably get bored far to quickly

Really depends on who I'm talking to. Mostly I read the stuff carefully just incase. Like in Pokémons when there's a Prof. telling u about what is a Pokémon, I just skip those things as fast as I can.

*shakes head sadly*I always thought that reading was required to play games. Apparently not. But, yes, I do read everything. I'll sometimes talk to NPCs twice just to make sure they don't say something different (that's what I get for growing up with the old-school RPGs).

I do skip the text when I go though the game a second time. Since I can retain a lot of knowlege, I do not need to re-read the storyline unless the text has a good line, or I want the dramaic effect. You'd be surprised how reading the text can turn a boring boss battle into an epic boss battle.Of course if the game has a bad translation or terrible plot, sometimes you are better skipping the text and going to a walkthough. But for most games, I read and enjoy.

I try to read everything, but when some games go into story mode you will most likely see me skip it. :D

i read it so that i can get everything done in the game, i hate mindlessly wandering around trying to find what to do when someone had just told me.

I read most of the games like Swordcraft 1 and 2 since the ppl you talk to you tells you to do somethings or where they are. [Items and such]

Yeah, if I'm going through a game for the second time, I'll probably skip conversations as well. Just like I skip all of the rewards/level up messages after the billionth time I've won a battle...But gaming for me is more than just pushing a bunch of buttons to see what happens. Personally, I need to read the text/conversations to get into the game.

Ofcourse I read 'em. If not I won't be able to know the story of the game. It's important to read 'em then you might know what you'll do next. Summon Night games have lots of chatter and soon I know you'll get bored by it. Almost non-stop of talks, I guess they are boring to read but it's interesting once you are really interested at that particular game.:)
