The dialogue of a game is part of what makes it good. I mean, you miss out on the story if you skip the dialogue. The stories are what keep me hooked onto games, so I read everything in the game.

Hi to All,Depends on, if the game have tons of text, I don't care to read but if there is just a little, there is no problem and after all, makes the game more fun...

Really depends on who I'm talking to. Mostly I read the stuff carefully just incase. Like in Pokémons when there's a Prof. telling u about what is a Pokémon, I just skip those things as fast as I can.

Well it's kinda obvious you read some of them, otherwise you would get lost every %&&% time in RPG game Loll..

I only read the text if it's a storyline conversation that I've never read or if I'm a novice. Like, I wouldn't read what the Elite Four says(in Pokemon games) if I've beaten them a billion times but in Tales of Symphonia, I read what people says so I know where to go next(either because I forget or if I'm a novice).

Yeh, you play rpg's for the story, not to battle weird blobby monsters for 200+ hours, for no good reason; so it stands to reason that you will read everything!

Always. I even go out of the way to talk to every useless NPC. I've always been a fan of any interactive plot. That's why I play RPGs.

If it catches and holds my attention, then yes. But if it's a whole chunk of text and appears often, then nope.

Usually I do when playing a game for the first time....otherwise you miss the story line if you skip through the reads.

Yes~ reading the reads tell you whats going on so you don't feel lost when you're playing, and it's interesting some of the things they programmed you to read, if you don't like reading it you can try other types of games where reading ain't gonna affect the story line~ games like Cake mania and dinner dash

part of being a pro is to read the reads, to know the story, to know the moves, especially useful when your returning from another town with it, to know everything before then, so yeah, it's important to READ THE READS. ALL OF THEM!
