well, it really depends.....I really like the classic gb games and the ds can't play them, it can only play gba games...so i'd have to go with gbabut from a graphics/gameplay standpoint, ds all the way

DS definetely, although i think that Pokemon Diamond and Pearl couldv'e made it better with some better graphics and more touch control, and random online battles!!!!

Well, to be honest, I could care less about the trading capabilities and other hardware related advancements of the DS. Not to mention using emulators takes away the budget factor, meaning I don't really need to choose between having one or the other, but nevertheless DS has better graphics and more in depth gameplay, in my never-humbel-at-all opinion. The only thing that GBA has going for it anymore is that it can still play the Johto Games, while DS cannot. But I like Hoenn and Sinnoh better than Johto anyways, so that is only a minor sacrifice, or no sacrifice at all once the "Shiny Gold" Mod is finished (Johto game with Hoenn graphics, can't get much better than that. With the exception of Sinnoh game with Sinnoh graphics).

i would think that it's ok with just gba.. yeah the wifi is uber cool, and the graphics are sweet.. but like, is all that really necessary for a pokemon game? frankly, i could just keep playing pokemon on those OLD gameboy pockets..

i prefer ds because you can navigate so easily with the stylus and touch screen. the wi-fi is also a huge factor that we can't forget. many people don't have friends that have ds's and the other version of the same generation pkmn game (ex. one friend has ruby, the other has sapphire) and by going on online, they can trade and battle other people even if they don't have people around that have the same game
