yeah i would have to say doom 3, its a great game

I have yet to play a game that has scared me but i am hoping i will soon because i like horror games so if it can scare me then it has to be awesome but i haven't played one that has yet, and yes i have played doom 3 and fatal frame 2 and didn't think either one of them was scary.

For me, it's DOOM 3. If you're playing it during the day, with lights on, it's fine, but if you play it at night, with the lights off, on a projector, it's going to scare you silly.

Doom 3 was a great horror game, the I've played for the Xbox that could get my heart racing and make me jump.Call of Cthulu started out great, it was pretty creepy, then it just fizzled out. Turned into just about every other FPS game.

The scariest game I have ever played has been Silent Hill 2 : Restless Dreams. Mainly because of these reasons :1.The part of the game in the town is covered in really thick fog or is dark.2.The enemies are scary as hell.3.The fact that you fight a guy called Pyramid Head and he is invincible and that even the handgun, shotgun, and assault rifle don't hurt him and that he has a giant sword that can easily kill you.

Haha. That sounds impossible.I'm gonna go with Doom 3, though. fatal frame...followed by fatal frame 2....scary...best effects when u play during the 7th month of the lunar calendar. (7th month is the month that chinese believe the gates of hades open n all the dear departed come to our world for a month of "visit" 
)

Doom 3 by far.Play the game on a good sound system (subwoofers mounted on the walls) and its EXTREMELY scary. The game uses so much bass a vast majority of people never realize it because their systems aren't up to the task.

For me Doom 3 was pretty scary but the Suffering: Ties that Bind scared the hell out of me. I had never seen nor played the game before and wanted something new. My friend let me borrow it but I ended up giving it back in a few days. It'll really scare you if u close ur i's and lilsten to it with surround sound.(at nite by urself)SCARRY!!!!

DOOM 3 AND DOOM 3 RoE ARE THE FREAKIEST GAMES EVER I BEAT IT OVER 17 TIMES AND IT STILL FREAKS ME OUT HAHAH

I would have to say Silent Hill series is the scariest. In Doom 3 its more shock than horror since they jump out at you. Fear is also scary but its only a few scenes that creep you out and no one really jumps out at you and causes you damage in Fear.
