I'm kinda biased on this topic. I love the GBA games, but Link's Awakening DX is my all time favorite hand held game, so I'm still going to have to say that GBC is much better. It wasn't about graphics then, it was about gameplay.

GBC: game boy color... the simple consoler.GBA: game boy advance... base and developed from the GBC of course it's better then GBC in sound, graphic, game play, etcHere is the extracly info i found on wikipedia:****The Game Boy Color (shortened to GBC) is Nintendo's successor to the Game Boy and was released on October 21, 1998 in Japan and in November of 1998 in the United States and 1999 in Europe. It features a color screen and is slightly thicker and taller than the Game Boy Pocket, but smaller than the original Game BoyThe Game Boy Color was a response to pressure from game developers for a new and much more sophisticated system of playing, as they felt that the Game Boy, even in its latest incarnation, the Game Boy Pocket, was insufficient. The resultant product was backward compatible, a first for a handheld console system, and leveraged the large library of games and great installed base of the predecessor system. This became a major feature of the Game Boy line, since it allowed each new launch to begin with a significantly larger library than any of its competitors. The processor, which is an Z80 workalike made by Sharp with a few extra (bit manipulation) instructions, has a clock speed of approx. 8 MHz, twice as fast as that of the original Game Boy. The Game Boy Color also has four times as much memory as the original (32 kilobytes system RAM, 16 kilobytes video RAM). Additionally, the Game Boy Color could address more ROM, allowing games as much as eight times the maximum size of those for the original Game Boy. The screen resolution was the same as the original Game Boy, which is 160x144 pixels. The Game Boy Color also featured an infrared communications port for wireless linking. However, the feature was only supported in a few games, and the infrared port was dropped for the Game Boy Advance and later releases. The console was capable of showing up to 56 different colors simultaneously on screen from its palette of 32,768, and could add basic four-color shading to games that had been developed for the original Game Boy. It could also give the sprites and backgrounds separate colors, for a total of more than four colors. This, however, resulted in graphic artifacts in certain games; a sprite that was supposed to meld into the background was now colored separately, exposing the trick.Game Boy Color games come in a clear plastic cartridge with a raised bump. Nintendo also made black cartridges that were compatible with the Game Boy Color, the older Super Game Boy and the original Game Boy. The black color distinguished these special cartridges from the grey Game Boy carts and the transparent Game Boy Color carts. The black cartridges had notches in the corner like old Game Boy cartridges, allowing an original Game Boy to be turned on when they were inserted, while the Game Boy Color cartridges did not. Special Game Boy Color palettes were built into the black carts, making it impossible to change their palette. Game Boy Color games also feature the different color cartridges for the hit game Pokemon.****The GameBoy Advance (often shortened to GBA) is a 32-bit handheld video game console developed, manufactured and marketed by Nintendo. It is the successor to the popular Game Boy Color. It was released in Japan on March 21, 2001; in North America on June 11, 2001; in Australia on June 22, 2001, in Europe on June 22, 2001; and in the People's Republic of China on June 8, 2004 (excluding Hong Kong). In 1996, magazines including issues 53 and 54 of Total! and the July 1996 issue of Game Informer featured reports of a new Game Boy, codenamed Project Atlantis. Although the expected release date of "early 1997" would make this machine seem to be the Game Boy Color, it was described as having "a 32-bit RISC processor" and "allowing similar to SNES standard games-playing to be played in the palm of your hand"—a description that more closely matches the Game Boy Advance. The technical specifications of the original Game Boy Advance are, as provided by Nintendo:[3]Size: Approximately 3.2 x 5.69 x 0.97 inches (25 mm). Weight: Approximately 140 grams (5 ounces). Screen: 2.9 inches reflective thin-film transistor (TFT) color LCD. Power: 2 AA batteries. Battery life: The average battery life is approximately 15 hours while playing Game Boy Advance games (also dependent on the Game Pak being played and the volume setting).[4] CPU: 16.8 MHz 32-bit ARM7TDMI with embedded memory. Memory: 32 kilobyte + 96 kilobyte VRAM (internal to the CPU), 256 kilobyte WRAM (external to the CPU). Resolution: 240 x 160 pixels. Color support: 15-bit RGB (16-bit color space using 5 bits depth per channel), capable of displaying 512 simultaneous colors in "character mode" and 32,768 simultaneous colors in "bitmap mode". Backward compatibility for Game Boy and Game Boy Color games is provided by an 8.4 MHz Z80 co-processor, while a link port at the top of the unit allows it to be connected to other devices via use of a Nintendo Game Link cable or GameCube cable. You can find more in wiki about game shark or the new model:Game Boy Advance SP,Game Boy Micro. Here the link:http://en.wikipedia....ame_Boy_Advance http://en.wikipedia..../Game_Boy_ColorHope i helped.

The quality of games has not gone down and the games for both Were great for there resective generations. Think of it this way, NES vs SNES no clear winner.

I like the GBA better... in fact it's better than the GBC in almost any way because it CAN play GBC games :lmao: But I like the games on the GBA more because it can be more in-depth than most GBC games.

Here is what i know about new model of GBA:+Game Boy Advance SP:In early 2003, Nintendo upgraded the Game Boy Advance giving it an internal front-light that can be turned on or off, a rechargeable lithium ion battery, as well as a folding case approximately half the original size. It was designed to address some common complaints with the original Game Boy Advance which was criticized for being very uncomfortable. The Game Boy Advance SP also came with a new and much brighter LCD screen for improved playability.+Game Boy Micro:In September 2005, Nintendo released a second redesign of the Game Boy Advance. This model, dubbed the Game Boy Micro, is similar in style to the original Game Boy Advance's horizontal orientation, but is much smaller and sleeker. The Game Boy Micro also allows the user an ability to switch between several colored faceplates to allow customization, a feature which Nintendo advertised heavily around the Game Boy Micro's launch. Nintendo also hoped that this "fashion" feature will help target audiences outside of typical video game players, much like its new Wii. Unlike the previous Game Boy Advance models, Game Boy Micro is unable to support Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles.

The GBA is by far the best, 2 extra buttons make all the difference really, give you more options, more things you can do in game, it was widescreen compared to GBC, more comfortable handling it, being the newer one it game with newer better games, etc. All in all just no contest to GBA.

Not even a comparison in my opinion. Sure the GBC was good for it's time, but everything about GBA is much better. Including the games.

I like GBA, but only because of the advanced (no pun intended) graphics.GBC had Pokemon Yellow/Red/Blue, so that's pretty much an auto-win.
