I kinda agree with the people who say that they will be stopped in a dew months!

They didnt stop selling ps1 games there is still a chart for it

Yes, I guess your right. They may just keep going until everyone own's a PS3!

Me too, I don't want them to stop. I heard a lot of bad rumors about the PS3, and I don't think I'm planning to get one anytime soon.

The PS2 sold really well right from the start thus putting pressure on developers to stop their PS1 projects and move on to the PS2. But the PS3 looks like it is going to have a much harder time competing with the Wii and 360, so developers might take awhile longer to migrate all their projects off of the PS2.

I'm not sure what will happen but it's a fact that publishers will move to PS3 now. PS2 games will be outdated sooner or later,

I'd say Christmas of 2007 will be the end of the PS2 games. There are some still in development.

sure. Look at history (Wow, it's actually useful sometimes!). Ps games continued coming out for quite some time after the PS2 was released.

I think games will mainly be made for PS3 and copied for the PS2.

I hope Sony don't stop making PS2 for now. I would like it to be still in the business for 2 or 3 more years. Right now I can't afford a new videogame system so I have to stick with the PS2 for a while.

Historically, games have been made for systems up to 2 or 3 years after the release of next-gen systems. (Depending on the system's popularity/marketshare. According to GameFAQs, there are games still being made for the Dreamcast in Japan. o.0)Given the PS2's widespread acceptance and a reluctance to adopt the PS3 (never mind the whole developers jumping to the Xbox 360 argument), I'd say the PS2 has a solid 2 years to go.

well since the PS3 are too expensive for some people like me so i think they gonna release more ps2 games, but they will kinda slow down on making it and focus on the PS3 games, so PS2 games will be still released, but not many
