SAME here man FFVIII for PC was the first ever rpg i've ever played! its def better than the PC version...it got me hooked on ALL types of rpg's like the dragon warriors series, more of Final Fantasy, Suikuden, Star Ocean, Xenosaga, and Phantasy Star.

I received Final Fantasy for Christmas when it first came out. That's right, the original. It got me interested in the genre. And then the Playstation came out with dozens and I was hooked on RPGs.

ya i love rpgs but i dont really like what final fantasy did... don't get me wrong its a good game but i mean there are just to many Final Fantasy x2 (why not just make it 11) and now there are like final fantasy games that are just being remade

RPGs are okay but the majority of them are too easy. My favorite genre for games are strategy games. I do admit that there are also very many simple strategy games but in my opinion, there are more difficult strategy games than RPGs.

ahhh RPGs, my life. I was, am, and will always be a fan of RPGs. There are some RPGs that are bad, but a majority of them are pretty good. i was definitely addicted to the final fantasy series even though i started on VII. Without RPGs i dont think i would be able to find better entertainment. I guess there are some shooters like Halo that are good but RPGs really are the cream of the crop for videogames. Any producer that can make as successful of a RPG game has incredible determination and imagination...RPGs = life, what more needs to be said...

RPGs are the best, as far as games are concerned.Plot > Gameplay, which is why RPG will always be the best to me.

That Is Just About All I Play My First Was FF8 Then Legends Of The Dragoon And So On I Have Played All The FF Games As Well I'm Playin Tales Of The Abyss Now But I Am Almost Done

I agree =/New Final Fantasy releases gradually decline in overall quality and makes sales based on nothing but better graphics and all the hype.

Although a little late. Japan is the only country with an ever growing population of RPG freaks and america only increased their interests in RPG thanks to the overly mentioned final fantasy series. However, should anyone here be asked if they had played dragon quest before on the PS1, "Well it was interesting and I might play it if I have time" responses you will get. What I'm trying to say here is that an RPG freak wouldn't just mention final fantasy all over again. Square soft games are always mentioned and the best games made from nippon ichi and atlus are almost never mentioned like La pucelle, disgaea, atelier iris. Enough of that. I think an RPG freak feels more proud of beating one long RPG game especially when it took them years to achieve it.
