Diddy Kong Racing: use the special patcher file from scdev.org forum (read first post) and when patching, uncheck the "Enable Restart" option.Kaitou Wario the Seven: when patching, uncheck "Enable Restart" and "Enable patch Cartridge access".

I have a question about the supercard SD. I am using it mainly for my 8 year old daughter, and installing games for her on her sp. However, occasionally I get an error message when trying to add a game. It says "Access violation at address 00405089 in module 'SuperCardsd.exe'. Read of address 00000000" Does anyone know what this means, and is there a way to correct this so I can upload these games she really would like to be able to play.

Since your daughter has a SP, I assume you're trying to patch GBA games. There is a GBA compatibility list here:http://rothmans.josk.../supercardsite/Check there and see if there is supposed to be a problem with whatever game you're trying to patch. If the list says it's fine, then post here what game, version of patcher and version of firmware you're trying to patch and we'll see if we can help you out.EDIT: I just experienced this problem last night, when trying to patch 1807 - Payback (E)(M5). But that problem only showed up when I tried to select the properties for that game. In the end, I just patched it without changing the properties, and it still worked fine.

What do you mean by upgraded to the "new supercard one os"? Do you mean you bought a Supercard DS(ONE) or do you mean you already have one but changed the OS to a newer version?Save files can be transferred from older supercard products to the supercard ds.You don't have to patch games for supercard ds but patching adds extra options such as restart to menu, trim rom, etc.The supercard ds has perfect compatibility last time I heard. Anyway, the DKR problem was solved ages ago (end of Jan).

Alright i'm sorry about my typing. From now on i'll be a somewhat better forum user. Anywho i'm having great difficulty with diddy kong. I've now upgraded to the newest os for Supercard[one] firstly i had all my games pre patched with 2.58 software and all my games worked except diddy kong. By the way i have added that patch file to my scshell folder. So that didn't work i just tryed removing the pre patched versions of my roms and just putting clean dumps on and enabling the patch function on the supercard itself. Unfortunately this lead to a great deal less compatability and of course diddy kong still won't work ao i would appreciate your input.see that was ok right?

The special patch was only for Slot-2 cards, so it wouldn't have helped you get DKR working. In fact, it sounds like it's lowered your compatibility level because basically now you're using the wrong patcher! If you want to use the supercard ds patcher, re-download it from the site.According to what I understood from the site, all you have to do is copy the roms directly to your memory card and after you enable patch and all games should work.As a side note, I know my friend has been playing DKR on supercard ds for a long time now. Did you wait to make sure the game wasn't just still loading? My friend's memory card is so slow that every time he loads mario kart ds it takes nearly 20 seconds. And from what I could remember, DKR takes some time to start after it has loaded.Hope I helped.

Thanx again phoenix. Once again you've helped me through my anguish with my supercard one. I guess that patch file was ruining my compatability. So yeah thanx again, its nice to know someone is always there to lend a hand especially when it comes to pirating software. While it takes tones of money to make a new game, re releasing games on new systems is pretty much a crime when your basically making a fortune with a quarter the effort and cost of the original game. Now that i've played didy kong on ds i'm pretty dissapointed, its lost a lot of its luster and i was pretty much hoping for a dirrect port but oh well. I suppose im contradicting myself but oh well, i feel pretty weird tonight so excuse the many inconsistencies in this post. Basically thanx Phoenix your always very helpful.

Hey I have4 a little problem with quite an old ROM.I posted previously about my Bleach DS 2nd problem (http://www.dgemu.com...howtopic=211760)and I also mentioned that I have had troubles with Tetris DS, with the multiplayer side. So I'll elaborate:-I fire up my ROM on me SuperCard. I goes into me Multipayer. Go to single card play, my friend then goes into Download play on her DS, and downloads teh game. All great. Then I try downloading any mode but Push, and they all crash and we have to restart. Push is the only mode that loads for her DS. mine just keeps whirring away sending the data, and hers just appears as a dimly lit screen, as if it crashes during the fade transition of going to the next screen....I have heard there is a patch for Tetris DS somewhere but never been able to find it... Someone help please? Thanks you! :P

It's like this:Some games work fine with download play, like Bomberman. For others, the receiving DS(s) must be flashed. Having a passcard or similar device is no use; unless the receiving DSs must be flashed to bypass the security check for the downloaded data. Something to do with the game's hash not matching with the data downloaded. Using a slot-1 flash cart should improve the download play compatibility because it uses clean roms. This problem does not exist for multi cart play and WFC gaming. This is why I flashed all my friends' DSs, so we can play multiplayer all together.

Is anyone else having trouble playing Animal Crossing AT ALL? For some reason, I can't get pass the intro screen where it says Nintendo on the top. It just freezes there.

I had trouble with AC, but not with freezing. Just try patching it again, making sure "Enable Faster Gameplay" is checked. You can try disabling "Enable restart" and "Enable patch cartridge access" and see if that helps too.AC also takes a while to start, so wait like 15 seconds to make sure it really isn't working before turning off your DS.

When I try to change the properties of a rom I'm patching, the majority of the options including Faster Gameplay and GBA Union are greyed out and I'm unable to select them. Also, it seems that any rom I patch ends up freezing at a white screen. What exactly is the problem? I'm using the DS ONE model.

Make sure you're using the right patcher and make sure you didn't copy the slot-2 patch into the SC folder.Anyway, since you're using supercard DS, why do you patch your games? Just copy the rom straight onto your microSD and play. If the games don't load this way, then your rom is not a clean rom. If you use a rom from this site and it doesn't work this way, then your Supercard might be faulty. Or it may be your microSD. These new slot-1 models are sometimes really picky about what microSD card you're using.

Well... I patched them because you said I should patch AC:WW if it refused to work...The problem with AC:WW is that it does load, but it just doesn't go anywhere after the Nintendo logo. I was wondering if anyone else encountered the problem and knew any solutions.

There is no point in getting both unless you want to play GBA games. Just getting a slot-1 is enough. The R4 seems the easiest to use to me.

When you say 'supercard program', you mean the patcher, right? What files do you try to open? .zip or .nds?

Or do you mean that you are actually trying to run the file from your DS and it's stating that there's an error?

I don't believe there is. If there is one, please tell me about it too (post or PM), I will add it to the first post (and use it, of course >.<)Just a note, it's not your supercard that's flashed, it's your DS.

hello. I've just found out about the gba-game-linking (allow gba union) in supercard. how does the gba union actually work? I mean does the ds and gba games need to be in the same folder, does it have to be on the same language (US or JP perhaps), etc? Thanks in advance. :D
