To make GBA union work:
  • Patch a NDS game with 'Enable GBA Union' checked
  • Name your unpatched GBA file exactly the same as your NDS one (eg. "Game.dsq", "Game.sav", "Game.gba")
  • Copy all three files to the same directory on your flash memory
  • When you load your NDS game, it should load 2 things: the NDS game and the GBA game
This feature is used for NDS games where inserting a specific GBA cartridge while running a DS game will unlock extra content (eg. Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow + Castlevania Aria of Sorrow or Pokemon Diamond/Pearl + Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green)

Man, I'm still having problems with Animal Crossing. I downloaded both (U) and (E) versions from dgemu.com and nothing is helping. As a note, I'm using a Sandisk 1gb which was the most recommended microSD card when I purchased my Supercard DS one. Also, my flashcart seems to be fine with every game I encountered so far EXCEPT this one.Hmm... I just found out that if I turned off my patching option on the Supercard, it works. However, there is a huge amount of lag. It is literally taking about 2 seconds for every step one of the animals make during the title screen.

Your microSD may be the problem. According to this (and to my knowledge) the Kingston 1GB is the most recommended microSD for the Supercard DS. The Sandisk 1GB is only average.

No. It doesn't work on slot-2 flash carts because it needs a RAM expansion which coincidently goes into slot-2 as well. The only way to run this using flashcarts is to use a slot-1 flash cart and put a patch on a slot-2 Supercard or M3 (both which have RAM) and use that as the expansion pack. Otherwise, no.EDIT: of course, you can also use a slot-1 flashcart + real RAM expansion pack combination. So in total, there are 4 different combinations:
  • Slot-1 flashcart + Supercard
  • Slot-1 flashcart + M3
  • Slot-1 flashcart + actual RAM expansion
  • actual game cart + actual RAM expansion

Thanks for your great help! Ik took longer than 2 hours to get the software and I got a bit nervous while putting on the lite as you cannot read anything. The same options with 1.63 and 1.70 and after confirming with A (probably the warning that electricity is guaranteed) it was counting. Now everything is working wel. Sure I read your thread before but understand my fear to crash a new lite and now I am really happy! Splendid service!

I used the chinese firmware and converted the games by the European 2.58 supercard software. It worked good for a short time but now the game suddenly stops. Sometimes a text is shown: remove the gamecard. When starting the lite again after some time this problem occurs again. Today I checked because I thought about converting by the chinese software but saw that they only have rumble version 2.57, not the actual European one.Do you have any suggestions or understand why this problem suddenly occurs?Another option is to use another supercard and there I have another question. Is it possible to use supercard mini sd (English one) and to put a second firmware for this supercard on the lite? Or are we asking for problems if we do? We have another lite (English supercard sd, firmware 1.7 with 2.58 converted games) and there games are sometimes suddenly freezing so we have to start the lite again. Suggestions?A lot of questions but I appreciate your experience very much – don’t know anyone better! ;-)

Is the freezing happening to all the games? Or just a handful of them? Can you also please list some of the games that aren't working?I don't quite understand what you mean by putting "a second firmware" on a supercard miniSD... the miniSD and SD both use the same firmware, and it's the only one that works.

This freezing happens for example with Rayman, Princess Peach and as I am playing these games in the moment, I cannot say if other ones have problems too. I will try other ones and report. 'By a second firmware' I mean that now there is the rumble mini sd firmware on one lite and if I want to use a normal mini sd supercard to have the possibility to play gba games as well, I need another firmware on the lite. Could it cause problems if I add the firmware without rumble to the lite where the rumble firmware is already installed?

I'm not sure about the freezing, but you've got the firmware thing all wrong. The firmware for the Supercards go on the supercard themselves, not your DS. When you update the firmware of your supercard, you're just changing your supercard. Nothing happens to your DS/DSL. So you can use the supercard on any DS you want, as long as the DS is flashed or you have a nopass for it.Posted Image

Thank a lot for let me enjoying a piece of the light! As the firmware has to be started on the lite I thought it would be installed on same. I am asking myself why they don't sell the supercard incl. the installed firmware but I don't have to know/understand everything. That means I can try with another supercard without damaging the lite.Concerning the problems with the two lites I will check carefully next week to report more precisely. Great job again and thanks!!!

Eh guys. New Supercard DS model came out and is claimed to be more "stable". Anyone have any idea at what it actually means?

Uncheck "Enable Restart" when patching.Read the patching/compatibility guide in my first post or in my signature.

I'm using a supercard mini sd version 1.7 with a 1GB sandisk sd mini. I got Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters World Championship 2007 rom and patched it with the latest supercard patcher. I then run the game on my ds. It starts out fine in the beginning. But after i enter a free duel with a CPU and go back to the deck construction menu, my ds starts to make strange noises. The speaker was just static. What should i do to fix this problem. Please help. thank you!

To fix static noises, just close the lid (ie. put DS into sleep mode) and open it again. That works for me and my friends, at least.

About the GBA Union option: Can you use more than one GBA game?Edit: ^Stupid Question.^Other question: Is it possible to have a save file (or GameShark/Action Replay cheats) for the GBA game, and will load with the DS game? (Example: If you have a folder the MMBN5 GBA game, you have the option of using the same folder in the MMBN5 DS game.)

GBA Union is only for making the DS game think there is a GBA game cart in the GBA slot. This is normally only used for unlocking extras (eg. Castlevania Aria of Sorrow with Dawn of Sorrow). You can't put a save file with the GBA game, and I don't think it's necessary either.

You patch MMB5.nds with the "Enable GBA Union" option checked. Then, rename your boktai game to MMB5.gba. Put all 3 files (.nds, .sav and .gba) into the same directory. When you load MMB5.nds, it'll load the .gba as well.

Do you have to have the same region for both games? Like will (E) games work with (U) games?

Not sure. The supercard will probably load the .gba file, but whether it works or not will most likely depend on the developers of the DS game.

For Pokemon Diamond, when I go into the WFC settings and exit out of it, it freezes in a while screen.... Is this happening to anybody else?

Set up your WFC settings in another game, like Mario Kart DS. That one doesn't freeze when you exit it.Some games freeze, but others don't.Anyway, once you've set it up, even if it freezes, the data should still be there, so you can just restart your DS.
