It has to have a good story, otherwise I lose interest.

Well, as far as the main reason for playing most RPGs go, it's mostly for the storyline for me. But as far as playing a RPG I've already played through, or know the story to, then it's either for the fun gameplay, which is true for all tri-Ace games which I love, or possibly for the nostalgia factor in some older RPGs I've played before. .... Or possibly a remake of the game with some extremely minor additions that may tempt me to play it again... .. I did anyway for Final Fantasy V somewhat recently. It was one of the first few RPGs I've played when I was little.. and FFV was pretty hard for a 5~7 year old, who had no concept of wide arrays of strategy involved in choosing from so many different jobs, abilities, and .. what not.. But.. eh, ultimately, it still all comes down to gameplay for me. It's the whole experience of playing the game that interests me usually, but the first time through, obviously I'd be eager to find out what the story is like.

Gameplay and replyability. I can still sit through hours of Quest for Glory, despite having finished it so many times now.

I play RPGs cause they allow me to escape this stressful thing they call life. And plus, they aren't realistic so, hey, who doesn't want to pilot huge robots?

Story, nothing else. There's not much gameplay in most RPG's(Final Fantasy...) but I really liked FF XII's battle system and I can't wait for FF XIII to come out!

Definetely the story, or just the gameplay in general. I like being able to level up characters and acquire new skillz.

Golden Sun I believe is hailed as a RPG? My girlfriend loves it, I can barely stand it.And what exactly is an RPG?Role-playing game.Well, I don't know about you or anyone else but I've never been a secret agent spy before, nor lived in the cold era, or even been a football player who's played for some of the greatest teams. Every game by definition is a role-playing game to me.

Like omg golden sun is like the best rpg ever made in gameboy advance! it even connects to the next one golden sun : the lost age!how could u say such a thing!

RPG's are one of the three most produced types of games we have. They are also the most popular. I love RPG's. They are the most I have in games. My brother is the reason I got into playing RPG's. The first RPG that I played was Final Fantasy 2 (aka FF4 easy) for the SNES. Anyways, Gameplay, Story, and SWORDS are what gets me into playing RPG's the most.

The story is what usually gets me into an RPG. It's like playing a book.

Mostly is because of the story. The gameplay. The adventure like feeling you are getting. I always love adventures.

Many reasons. I get attached to the storyline and characters, and unlike most games RPG's can't be completed in a short timespan. Replay value as well.

the story draws me in the first time. if i ever replay it, it's mainly because i'm a bit of a completionist.

I like RPG's for the gameplay, the story, the character's development, and the whole RPG feel. I like the attack animations. The story always gets me. What RPG's lack in the battle system, they make up in story-line and their human like characters.
