LoZ isnt actually an rpg. only the second one is. but rpgs that appeal to me are the ones with lively battle systems and/or a really good story

I usually like RPG's with solid customization and an interesting story (that makes the game worth playing for) along with charming characters.

i like rpgs that you can see a noticeable change in power. Half the rpgs, everyone gets stronger, but so do the enemies and it feels the same as the beginning of the game. I like when you gain new abilities and even though the enemies have more life or whatever, you have much more choices in how to defeat them.also the story is very important.

I generally like RPGs that have a lot of customization involved, I really enjoy levelling up different sorts of skills and I like the ability to combine different sets of skills to create hybrid characters. Generally the story isn't what matters to me, its how the game makes me feel about the characters, it could be the greatest story in the world but if it has flat unlively characters I'm not going to enjoy myself. The battle system doesn't really matter to me but it can be important sometimes.

I love an RPG with a good storyline, gameplay, and controls that aren't hard to learn. Some game' controls and techniques are way too hard to learn which makes the game useless to play.

Number 1 is : Graphics. If it isn't good. i won't play it.Number 2 is : The battle system. in RPG we must often go to battle to gain level up. if the battle make you bored, how can you gain a level.Number 3 is : The moves ( special attack ) and the variety of the weapon. ( i'm male so i like weapon ).i think that's all. maybe there is the storyline. But for me if the storyline sucks but the battle system is so cool. i'll still play it.

I love games with great engrossing stories. I can compensate for mediocre graphics if a game has a compelling story. I also look for an interesting battle system, lots of secrets and puzzles, and above all some memorable characters.

I love the RPG Genre, but if I want to enjoy an RPG the game must pass a couple of criteria:* A nice battle system (so on the map itself like zelda or a system like summon knight 2. I don't like final fantasy kind of battle systems because they get repetetive very quickly).* A very good story* A happy end :laugh:If it meets those criteria, I'm sure that it's a very good RPG.Greetz, glengine

I have yet to make a list for this. FOr i have not played that many rpgs for GBA.For most part, so far only riviera, golden sun 1 & 2, summon night 1 and legend of zelda. But i really still can't make up my mind of what can be considered great. THe story lines have to be great but also the gameplay.Yet, none of the games mentioned above did strike me as "wow"So what do you think?

I see how good the story is and what the battle style is like

In RPG's i look for the ones that you can start with one character and you can lvl up. I like RPG to be like games like Maple Story, Priston Tale and some others.

In my opinion, I like RPGs when there is some sort of ranking system. This is like when you have a low rank, you can only do certain low rank missions. But when you go higher, the more interesting missions are available. Basically, I like growing with the game.
