i look for a good storyline. It could be a fairly low-res game and if it has a great plot, it'd be a good game. Like Little Ninja Bros. for the NES. that's a perfect example.

I rlly LOVE rpg games. So here's my opinion.I need a game with a story, but i h8 it when they dialogs are long so a text speed option is always handy.I need a game wich isn't to hard in the beginning and wich explains all of the contents for beginners BUT it has to be skipable. It's always handy if u r able to gain lvl's quickly and get rlly strong in a short period of time (i'm rlly impatient and h8 grinding xp for 5hours straight -_-")Nice graphic and smooth gameplay in and out of combat are my top priorities. Oh yeah i forgot. I prefer swords and magic and such over guns and laser thingies.euhm... i think that's about it :rolleyes:Greetz from BelgiumCC

what i look in rpgs is strategy and tactics part of it, where you need to use your brain to solve puzzles, mazes, etc. and where you plan how and when to attack, defend, and use items. and a long game where you feel like you can't beat it and want to throw the game

1 - Good lookin' male fellas ;D2 - Lots of different places to explore.3 - Good story (Lot'sa unexpected twists), decent-ish graphics (Don't need to be perfect, just playable) and good voice acting (Cam Clarke XD)4 - Not too many random battles. -coughcough.FF.coughcough- 5 - Even lvling. Not just easy until lvl 10 then really hard and tedious.6 - Skippable text and boring bits. Like, the bits you know when you've played it 3-4 times already.7 - Replayability. Different events, storyline trails, endings.Think thats all. ;)

1. the battle system, if its got a crappy battle system, whether or not its got a good story or not, its not worth playing.2. storyline to keep me interested in the game

Story Line is key in a good Rpg. Also i like the integration from one plot onto another. If i took several examples of this. E.g. final fantasy 3 - when you get seperated and re joined. Fable - Karma effecting later "life". Also i like being able to define your character.

A nice storyline, & tons of training! I so love training characters' abilities to the max, that I can train my warriors for a non-stop 2 hours! Seriously, once managed to get all my characters in Final Fantasy VII up to Lv99! (Well, the materia & Cait Sith's Limit Breaks are still in training....)

I think the reason why people like RPGS is because it has involving story with interesting characters to which you can kind of relate. Also there are sidequest if you like to get away from the main story and find new abilities and leveling up. It is kind of like D&D, but you get to see what is going on and how the characters react. I am a big fan of RPGS. <_<

I like RPGs because they require a differnet type of skill. Instead of figuring out the best combinations of attacks to defeat you enemies you use tactics and figuring out whats the best way to beat the enemy. Also at least for me in RPGs the feeling of perfection with your party is awsome.

I think it's mostly because of the storyline... I mean, there's love, there's patriotism, friendship, everything you may have failed in your real life. Then there's the (small) part played by battle strategies...

Yup, all for it. The story is what makes me get all into RPGs. Action games are good but the best RPGs combine these two aspects (not always though).

Because RPGs require you to think to play... to devise a stradegy rather than run in and mash buttons until you kill something. At least... that's why I play them.
