You can get by with 50 munny according to the official guide by BradyGames.

I think the amount of munny you need varies upon difficulty. I haven't played easy mode and can't really remember the exact values in normal or hard mode, but i dont think it would be down in the double digits, sea master 3 or shadowneko003...
