Since you mentioned Cloud, I assume you're including games released before the merger. My favorite character is a toss up between Vivi from FFIX or Maribel from DQVII/DWVII. Vivi because he's so adorable and sympathetic. Maribel because she's a royal pain in the you-know-what in a way that is also quite endearing... well, in a grating and comedic sort of way.Since the merger I would have to say Yangus from DQVIII. He's just a rompus, dim wit with surprising depth, compassion, and all together very amusing. Definatley the sort of guy any man would want as a friend through such trials or just to hang with at the pub.And I would say.. Cloud from FF7 cos he looks so cool and strong.. I like his hairstyle...
