Some sniping is good but there has to be a mix within the game. All sniping in a game makes things boring. Snipers give great cover and are support troops.

My friends think sniping is for cowards. In real life if you're sniping you're not really risking your life like everybody else is. I say its smart to snipe in real life war and video games. Its the smart thing to do for that exact same reason.

Sniping takes a lot of skills. It's quite difficult to make a clean shot from afar while your target is moving and you have to do so without being seen. This definitely take more skill and patience than simply filling an area with bullets and hope some hit by the law of probability.

I like to snipe, it requires more skill than the run around until you meet up with someone then you both run around in circles and just spray n pray. Plus there isn't anything sweeter to my ears to pick someone off from across the map and getting to listen to them come back on the mic screaming a slew of four letter explicits. As far as the Call Of Duty shooters go(I guess these are the one I play the most) I love to snipe, because other than that its normally filled with tompson or ppsh spraying. Even when I'm not sniping I still use a semi auto or bolt action rifle. (In call of duty 3, when I would decide to pack up and change spots I always carried my pistol and GAWD I racked up a ridiculous amount of kills with that, I even once made a flag capture through a heavily defended base with just a pistol)

i would really like to do some reality sniping cuz it seems so fun to me, however, i am only able to do it in games and it is quite hard. in cs i could only get about 1 headshot for every 5 seconds or so. it takes too long

It's only fun if the sniper rifle is made well in the game.

Sniping definitely takes a certain amount of skill to pull off. Those who can snipe well are very talented.

Yes, it's a realistic tactic IRL and in games. Both are based on chance, and can be partially avoidable with the right precautions.

snipers need to get the credit they deserve cause after one shot they basically give thier position away and have to be a decent hider too

I usually use the scout in CoD 3 for the PS2 just because it suits me best. My friends think I'm crazy when I shoot people in the face without scoping close range. While they're shooting at me.

sniping is best when you go a lot of distance with other player... but it would be so hard if the enemy is so near!!! that what makes sniping challenging!!!

I love sniping. The people that don't like sniping are just angry because they're bad at it.

On consoles, Sniping is a big no-no, a thumb on a joystick just doesnt give you that precise aim needed. And usually they give you auto-aim to make up for it, so what's the point? On PC games however, it's just about all I do. Especially that one level on unreal with the two towers, just get on top of one and kill anybody that moves =DAnd back when Gmod was free, that zombie survival game. Once I got enough kills to get the sniper rifle, it was game-over zombies, since everybody used the fast zombie, which you don't even need a headshot to kill with the sniper rifle. I'd just sit on top of a huge building and splat them one after another as they fly through the air. People on that game were so dumb, the zombies always refused to work together, then scream h4x when they cant get near me ^_^ ahh, I miss that game. But seriously, anybody who says sniping is cheap or takes no skill, they're obviously just noobs. If they had any shred of skill, they would come up behind the sniper and stab them in the back.

I Must say that Some games sniping isn't fair, like halo(i know i used halo so bash me with a club) it's so easy, in that game very little people get head shots they just aim for the body twiceBut then there are games were sniping is hard like counter strike(without aimbots)and then gears of war(love the gore ^_^ )but then i must say the fact is that every one camps with snipers :( and it sucks
