A save state CAN be a cheat if used in the wrong way. I mean, if your save is disabled as part of the game, and you use a save state, THAT's cheating.

idk about u people, but as far as im concerned its just saving time not cheating cuz if u dont do it and get a game over ull just be coming back to the same place again by replaying all of it.

if u use it sparingly, its not a cheat. But never use it in battle to turn the tide, cz that is obviously cheating

Sort of. In a real gameboy game, sometimes, you have to go a while to get to a save point. However, in an emulator, you can save in a fight, and try it over and over and over. Which is unfair

Like most people, I think it's a cheat only when used in the absence of a save point. This is especially true in strategy games like Fire emblem where you can save before every attack and try again if you missed or didn't get a critical.

Yes, you can actually cheat with it. (you know, saving .. )But, yeah, it depends on how you use it.If just normally like for saving only, then NO.

I don't really consider save states as cheats, unless they have an actual cheat on them already. Save states to me are just points in the game that contains everything the player has from then on, you don't use it to get energy or have infinite lives, so it is not a cheat.

If you're abusing the Save State feature by using it in over and over hoping to get lucky on some parts for example: when looting items you abuse it over and over til u get the item u want, then it would be cheating, but if u only use it once in a while its not cheating

it is a 100% cheating.............cuz u can change the wrong things u have made in the game without doing it again from the start and that is really cheating

It is like the ULTIMATE cheat. It's so great because you cantry things out and then if it doesn't work for you and you die,you just try something else.

Ever play a Mario game on a console? You can die, and you've seen the level. When you come back you're prepared. Is that considered a cheat too? do you consider it provocative I'm posting in your post? Do you? let me know. Not really.
