I only have two original games but plan on getting a third. I only buy games which I feel are really worth it/some rare games which I am able to find.

I am actually buying my PSP games, not that there are so many good games to buy though :DAnyway been thinking about modding my PSP and starting to download the games but still not too convinced that there are enough good games + that I have crappy internet line for downloading.Enjoying bit too much of the DS atm so I think I keep on buying the PSP games. Opinnion might change later on in the year when Sony is coming up with all those new games.

ISOs. I think games run faster when it reads form the memory card than when it reads from the UMD.

I have about 100 ISO/CSO's. I do think free downloads are hurting the gaming industry. That's why I'm happy Sony is keeping up with the firmware up-dates. I like free games, but I don't mind waiting until they're phased out of the retail market.

Oh the illegal downloads are definitely hurting the market. It's pretty obvious. I mean, I pirate as well so I'm not preaching....but over the years the effect of piracy has been pretty obvious.

I use Isos as demos for games, and if I like that game enough to buy it, I will. I understand how badly isos hurt the market, and I strongly suggest that everyone starts buying the games they love or the developers will stop making them because they make no profit.

I like many people here, am honest and play ISO backups of the original UMD which I own.Be serious, you think i'm gonna pay £30 ($60) for a game which I may not even likeDownload the ISO and play it, if you like the game then buy the UMD. UMD run faster than ISO anyway,handy tip, play the ISO for a couple weeks by which time your local 'blockbuster' will be selling the game chea

I mostly play ISO's and then if I like the game I buy it to have it in my collection. I also buy alot of on-sale games and my collection is nearing 50 games ;).So both.Edit;

Where I live you can order new UMD games for around $40. Older games sometimes cost less than $20.

I try to buy the UMD if it's a game I know I'm going to like, or I want to support the developer, or I just want a hard copy. As much of a pirate machine the PSP is, I don't actually get into pirating PSP games themselves.

It largely dependes on the game. Most games I will just play the ISO of it and then see how good the game is. If it is an actually good game, I will then buy the UMD to help support the makers. If all people do is download the ISO the makers will not make any profit, encouraging them to stop making new games. This is really what is killing the PSP is because the makers know they will make a lot more if they make a game for the 360 or PS3 instead of the PSP.

They do now. You can use chickHEN and the CFW enabler. There is more info in the emulation/homebrew section.

Despite being a poor college student and fired from my job, I buy my games. Then if I have space and if the load times are horrible( takes longer than 15~30 seconds), I rip it from the UMD. Other then that I also support PSN by downloading legal games. Being poor isn't a reason, there is something called saving up... That said... JPN PSP games are fair game. Freaking import rates...
