I think FFT in any form is a good thing! the closer to the original the better, I mean why mess with a good thing right?

i was hoping it to be more like a sequel, but a remake is just as good, boring but good...also.... for some reason i m not very inclined to complete my FFT advance 1 and 2.... i have no idea why

Will we ever get a resolution as to what happened in the end? I can stand some vague endings, but FFT's didn't get quite past there.Delita: Ramza, what did you get? I...

hmmm, i originally got my PSP for monster hunter freedom 2, as i played the original for PS2 for years, and as soon as i get my psp, this comes out? i must admit, i feel like a lucky gamer right now. also, from the trailer, those cutscenes look beautiful, just enough cel shading to animate them, but not make them childlike, a great addition, in my honest opinion. AND YAY! WE GET AUDIO CUTSCENES!!anyone know who's doing the voiceacting?

Hahah - I 'borrowed' my little brother's PSP just to play this - meh, when Crisis Core comes out in Australia, I'll *finally* get my own PSP, but until then, I have my brothers. So far, so good - although I find it a bit hard (I'm too used to RPGs, I've never really played strategy-type games all that much), it certainly looks very pretty, particularly the cel-shaded CGI scenes. Having never played FFT on the PSOne, I'm interested to how people are comparing the PSP version to the original.

because it is a remake? anyway if u played the original FFT, u will find the psp version, has smoother graphics, worse translations of spells and abilities... and of course the new animation cut scenes... even though the old ones are still cool...

Hm, sad that they won't push this to Nintendo. I'm not saying that FF:TA wasn't good, I played the ass out of it, but I really liked the PS version and would like to have it portable. I'm a bit upset with with remake concept, especially with the releases of FF 1 and 2 in seperate games (Sony wants all the money in the world..), but could definately be worth it. I don't own a PSP, and never plan too, but I could definately see convincing a friend to buy this so I can play.. Possibly even getting it myself for play on his.

I'm still uncomfortable that the screen has only been stretched.SE couldhave done better than this. But CG cutscenes are great and artistic, that I'm agreed.

I already played the original so I wanted to try to beat this one without doing any random battles. I did that at first but only until the 2nd battle in chapter 2. I can't stop wanting to grind for JP instead of doing story battles.

I impulse bought a psp when I found this game on the shelf. 12 hours into it and still loving every minute, much like the PS1 release.

Agreed, after playing the original like crazy (I had an amazing setup using 2 generics, Agrias, Beowulf and of course, Ramza), it's hard not to want to grind for JP rather then go on with the story.

I'm playing it at the moment and it's good fun. Apparently I had the Euro version or something, so I was kind of shocked at first why the names were different... Igros Castle -> now Eagrose, Algus is Algrath (? or something) and Sweegy Woods is now something totally different except for the starting letters. Still, good fun.Oh, another thing. I absolutely love the cutscenes! Fantastic! ^_^

I think the psp screen is very ok.No enlargements needed. Then it will just make the psp much bigger with a big screen.
