Everytime a new system is released it seems its recalled shortly after? Why hasn't sony learned it's lesson? PS1 was recalled because of laser calibration problems. PS2 was recalled because of the power supply and now the PS3 is having its own share of problems.

well thats how it is they try and get rid of most of the errors but some errors get through but then they are soon fixed it happens to all consoles. there was a problem with the wii i think that it couldnt read disk but i am not exactly sure.

Sony pushed out the PS3 too fast to try and compete with the WII and catch up the to 360. If they would take the time to properly check the systems before shipping them they would have less problems with recalls. I know they can't avoid all the bugs and glitches but they could at least take a little more time to ensure that users wouldn't have to ship it right back out right after they get it.

Bottom Line = Playstaion 3 < Wii and Xbox 360they're gonna take 6 years to make a system, that frequently screws up, and costs way too much for the gameplay you get, i bought it and got rid of itwithin a week, that "junk" is not worth it, i would just buy 3 wiis :)

That's why you shouldn't have bought a PS3 so early... Not to mention that the PS3 launch = worst ever... I mean the launch titles are sad. >.> I'm gonna wait til good games get released.

Bugs and major problems usually can't be fixed until they are being sold to the public.Evey console is like that. Because no company tests out every single console before putting it on the market.

The PS3 is a problem in itself, yeah I know they needed to put it on the shelf to help fix glitiches but i hear it is ridiculous waste of money. Only problem I have heard with the WII is the flying Wii-mote problems or more accurately the pointless wrist strap.

Bugs and kinks are to always be expected with new systems thats why you need to learn to be happy with your old systems. In 6 monthes to a year after release you can go to the store pay between 50 and a 100 dollars cheaper for the second generation system that doesn't have nearly any problems. Not a single gaming company has stopped producing new titles for their older systems till the library of the new system is filled out and able to produce stable profits even then company will continue to eek out games on older systems with money left in the development funds for the year.

Well, I know that Ridge Racer game had some serious glitches. Now, for hardware problems, so far I heard about those problems with PS1 and PS2 games. Anyway, problems at launch times always happen so it's not surprise that Sony is having problems with PS3, specially because they rushed its release. It's a question of time for things to settle down, nice games to be released, and the problems to be fixed. Those who are waiting the initial rush to be finished made a wise choice in my opinion.

Well no sh*t genius. Not every single system is going to have a problem. If every single system failed, they wouldn't sell. And the PS3 isn't the only system with problems, just the one with the most. If I recall, the 360 had its share of problems when it was released. And of course the Wii doesn't have a lot of problems, because there's a lot less to the system, so a lot less could go wrong.

honestly about the ps2 and 1 games, play it on ur freaking ps1 and 2 if u want to play them, seriously ps3 does not have any major glitches besides that, just because ps3 was hyped up so much people love to tear it down for everything. sony was trying to think about the gamers when they made ps3 backwards compatible and now they get mad when it doesnt work perfectly does nintendo make things backwards compatible? no you have to buy the games online to play them on wii. everyone just hates ps3 and has a bias against it

I think you guys are asking for a bit much.....I mean, there will always be variables that can't be predetermined - I mean, margins of error exist in all things. Perfection is delusion, try putting yourself in the creators shoes. Flops and glitches are seen in all new inventions - maybe we should learn from our mistakes of buying consoles too readily when we know they're gonna have mishaps <3

I think the control is quite a problem... I mean come on, sure it's a nice new console design, but that's one dang old controller design!! (Since PSX) At least revamp the control to better suit the console (which most prob WILL have problems):'( I must say rather disappointed of the PS3. Playstation has been a staple meal of my life and I can see that they could of put in more effort. But hey, with all the competition, PS3 might pull up their pants?
