there are too many new pokemons in my opinion, i only played red a bit and it was fun, but now with pearl i see too many new pokemons that dont really seem to add anything new, the starting wild ratatta and pidgeot are replacet with another bird and critter like pkmns and so on.i see pokemon as a vs fighting game, with a long single player adventure/tutorial for you to get used to the mechanics, i never got too far into the game, mostly because that long tutorial / adventure never catches my attentioni'd like to see less pokemons with more evolutions, like tamagotchi, where you get different evolutions depending on how you treat the... um.. tamagotchi. in example i have a lil cute pokemon, i make it fight plenty of pokemons using sp attk- based attacks, and him using attk- based attacks, so eventually it will grow into a new pokemon with high sp def and attk (with penalties in other stats, of course)it would also be good some sort of age/fatigue that would hurt you pokemon performance depending on how much you make him fight or how many injuries he got in his lifebut, like stated in previous posts, all this is new, and has never been succesfully sold before
