Isn't Nidoqueen technically a normal type pokemon?That aside, though, that's actually a really interesting challenge. I'm going to have to try that sometime.

The Nidoran pokemon are grass/poison type. You can't really do it as well with the other elements, as it's just too hard to find enough of them early game. You could do Normal type if you wanted to- probably a good starting team would be Raticate, Pidgeot, Persian, Kanghiskhan, Wigglytuff, and Clefable, as you can get most of them or their lower evolutions early game- but Water and Fire would be pretty tough, and Electric or Fighting would be nearly impossible without repeats if you wanted to keep the challenge from beginning to end.

i would like to see a mmorpg version where you are a pokemon (like in pokemon mystery dungeon). you start off by taking a quiz to fin out which basic pokemons you are and it all spirals from there.

I think in this case, it would be a good idea, but there would have to be some work-arounds.Obviously, not everyone could have a Mew...or Manaphy...or even Arceus.Perhaps they could do something where there are certain "Events" or like boss battles where everyone could fight like a super powerful Mew...Ooh. I know...it would be something like the Mewtwo storyline where they tried to clone Mew and up the power as well. Mewtwo becomes super-powerful, like Level 250, but he'll explode in 5 minutes due to the massive amount of power or something. And we as trainers are the only ones who can stop it from happening.Or something like that. It would be too easy with Legendaries.

I agree in part. The main question is whether or not they would charge, and if so, how much?Perhaps an in-game fee? That might be a bit funny!

well i think there is going to be a mmorpg for pokemon because on how many generations of pokemon there have been. theyre adding more and more features to the game, take diamond and pearl for example you can already trade across the world

a mmorpg would be greatoh and i think that they should give a quiz to decide which basic you are (not including legends) and then legends are parts of events and moderators and such

I personally hope they never make a pokemon mmorpg. To be honest, I was suprised they made one for final fantasy, MMO's are definitly not impressing a whole lot of people these days. I don't even play them at all, but face it, not even a game like WoW compares to games like runescape or everquest when they first came out.

Pokemons gonna die soon, I guess whoever can do whatever should do whatever. I used to love teh games so much, I still have an attachment to it. The show was the crap when I was growing up. Since its been around for this long why not continue it as long as it lasts. The kids like the show today like when I used to like it when I was little. Too bad its gonna end soon, theres no where else Ash can go

ash can go plenty of more places... they made up kanto, joeto, orange archipeligo/islands from FR/LG, Hoen( how do you spell it), and sinnoh (or however you spell it) they could make a game where you choose which one you start in... which one to go to 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th...

A Pokemon-based MMORPG would be AWESOME!As long as they include all the regions Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and the long overdue Orange Islands and no new ugly Pokemon. They could make sidequests and missions more interesting and they could be more interactive. Being able to battle trainers from all over the world sounds so cool but I can see it lagging due to the massive amount of people on the servers. And then there's the massive amount of 8-year olds that speak IM and txt. talk and who abuse ubers and legendaries just because they're so strong. But still! Pokemon is the perfect video game franchise for a MMORPG.We came close with D/P and I could actually see them doing this with the next gen.

erm, i was under the impression the MMORPG would be u playing as a trainer not ur pokemon. but i never thought of the pokemon fighting system not being turn based.... i like the idea of non turn based pkmawn combat.

They really should make something like it, as pokemon is comming close to dying, and to quite alot, it already has. Pokemon will go out of style totally if they don't do anything new soon.

I've actually thought about this quite a bit and thought of a game system for that included real-time battle thats also kept the same things as previous games. Its would work best on the DS I believe and I think it would bring Pokemon back, probably bigger than WoW hehe

When I first saw this thread, it sounded sort of silly. But now that I think about it, a Pokemon MMORPG would be pretty darn awesome.
