Probably not I think the M3 creates that file. I don't remember seeing that when I copied the file over to my micro SD. I look at the files on my micro SD card to make that listThanks! You and DBGT have been so helpful in this whole process. Thanks for everything.ANOTHER EDIT: I found the file. It's The simplys firmware but it's missing _DS_MENU.SYS it has EVERY other one that you mentioned except for this one. Should I be worried?

As far as I know "no" but things may have changed?I tried to put a GBA rom on the M3 simply, it didn't work really, I think it's due to the fact that the DS thinks that it should be loading a DS game from 'slot 1' and a GBA game from th 'slot 2' is there an emulator or some kind of converter to make .gba files into .nds files? that would be a great idea instead of having to buy a 'slot 2' device.

Well you could always rename it to .ndsI tried to put a GBA rom on the M3 simply, it didn't work really, I think it's due to the fact that the DS thinks that it should be loading a DS game from 'slot 1' and a GBA game from th 'slot 2' is there an emulator or some kind of converter to make .gba files into .nds files? that would be a great idea instead of having to buy a 'slot 2' device.

The M3 program which does do rom dumps doesn't seem to work on the newest version. You'll need to get v18 to dump roms and you won't need a passkey since the M3 simply can act as oneOk, I am wondering if this is a good slot 2 flashcard for the m3 simply, http://www.gamersect...;products_id=54 because i want to backup my games without downloading them. Thanks for your time. Oh, and what type of sd card does it take(or tf or whatever.)

Nintendo DS Rom Dumper v1.1 By Silver Moon Team Info: Nintendo DS rom dumper v1.1by SMT (aka Silver Moon Team)Required:1) Any GBA flashcard.2) FlashMe (patched firmware) or PassMe.3) GBA Movie Player (v2).4) CompactFlash card without bad sectors. All contents will be erased by the dumper!Instructions:1) Flash dumper.nds.gba on GBA flashcart.2) Place GBA flashcart into DS.3) Place DS card to dump into DS. Use FlashMe or PassMe.4) Turn on the DS and let the dumper program boot.5) Insert GBA Movie Player with CompactFlash.6) Press A button.7) Do not move DS and wait until DS card needs to be reinserted.8) Reinsert the DS card WITHOUT any PassMe.9) Press A button.10) Turn off DS.11) Remove CompactFlash card and put into a PC reader.12) Run the dumper utility on PC.13) Spread the unmodified dump on the internet.14) Apply (or run with wifi) the latest generic patcher/loader which is compatible with your GBA flashcard or Movie Player.http://www.freewebs..../NDS_dumper.raror download this one.MAGICKEY Tools, released by "Dark Monster Team", can dump DS roms using NeoFlash. Does not work with Neo Max.http://releases.pock...2.0_NDS-DMT.zipor download this one.FWNitro is a purely homebrew firmware for DS.It's an alternative to using FlashMe, which is a hacked version of the original DS Firmware.FWNitro can be used to dump roms onto most CF-based adaptors, including the Supercard and GBA Movie Player. Unlike NDS Rom Dumper, FWNitro produces a usable .nds file. http://dl.qj.net/FWN.../5993/catid/240Cant tell you which one to use since you are not telling us which slot 2 you have.btw you link you gave http://www.gamersect...;products_id=54thats not a flash cart......... it does not play anything all it does is boot up slot 2 flash carts, so you dont have to flash your ds, its the really old outdated one at that, so they are trying to sell iit for cheap.Ok, well i think i found one, but do i still need that $10 thing? Cause if so i need to order soon, incase i go somewhere so i don't lose any games!

you dont need to flash it, but you will need a slot 2 flash cart to dump games, i dont know of any slot 1 flash cart dumping programs, and most slot 2 flash carts can dump roms.If you have a supercard then use FWNitro, if you have a neo flash then use magickey, if you have a G6 or M3 then use DS rom dumper.its up to you and how much money you want to spend on a slot 2 flash cart, although its really easy to download ds roms, i can download any ds rom i want from torrents, without waiting like dgemu, most roms take about 10 minutes to download on a torrent and you can download hundreds of ds roms at once so dumping your own roms is not really needed. Can i do any of that without flashing my ds? Oh and i don't have a slot 2 yet... reccamendations?

although you can dump roms using M3 Lite ect which use SD cards... dumping roms is much easier and will not corrupt if you use CF slot 2 flash carts to dump roms.Supercard CFThanks for all the info! now to go get a slot 2 card...
(need to flash your ds with FWNitro)M3 CF

I believe that its impossible for any slot one dumping programs, unless it can dump to a slot 2 media. Its impossible to dump to a slot 1 flashcart since the game your dumping has to be in slot 1 and therefore can't be saved to the slot 1 flashcart unless the DS's temporary memory can hold it and write it to the slot 1 flashcartyou dont need to flash it, but you will need a slot 2 flash cart to dump games, i dont know of any slot 1 flash cart dumping programs, and most slot 2 flash carts can dump roms.
