i would believe FF9 i nvr played it but i saw that it has 4 discs :concurd:

yea it is the longest and ff7:DOC is the shortest

I believe FF8 also has the same amount number of disc, no ? :blink: Despite the amount of discs I find that FF9 is quite short, in terms of storyline. I dunno which one should I choose as the longest version of FF since depends on the sidequest and the amount of things to do in the game that would be the main factors to determined which is the longest one.If size is the indication then ff9 wouldn't be the longest, it have to be either ff10 or ff12 since they filled one dvd (around 4 gigs) which is larger than 4 cds ( around 2.4 - 2.8 gigs) :blink:.Or maybe ff11 ? :P I dun think it counts tho'.

yea but ffX was short compared 2 the others and yea ff8 is longer than ff9 i just remembered ff9 disc 4 was shortand ff8 disc 4 was long. so ff8 is the longest

Final Fantasy XI is an MMORPG. The content never ends. I think that should be answer enough. XD

true so true this is way longerthan ff9 and ff8 put together

I think 9 is really short, i think it depends how much extras you do, like ff8 is easy if you dont level up, but if you go for level 100, then its got more gameplay. It all depends on whether you want 100% or just playing through to win. To just go through and win, ff8 is quickest, because you dont level up

thats yi know i go 4 100% on them and ff8 took 4ever but ff11 never ends so its the longestKingdom hearts 2 is a longer game than all of these except for ff11 cuz it never ends

I'd have to go with FF9 but then im not sure X and X-2ill go with 9 thou and yeh FF8 had 4 disks as well BUTthe 4th disk was only ultimicas castle and some areas on the world mapalmost all of the places you mostly want to go toare closed off by evil barriers

The longest for Final Fantasy game was Final Fantasy 10 it took me soooo long just to finish the entire game and unlock all the Dark aeons and beating them

Oddly enough, I've heard this comment from many of you. I got everything in FFX and still beat it in under 60 hours (and that included 10+ hours of blitzball). It's sounding like FFXII will be the longest from what I hear from my friends. That's a summertime game for me. No need to start that during the school year.

I thought that FFX had the longest gameplay.. I spent 120+ hrs on that game just to get thru the main storyline.

120+ hours? :D It took me 30 hours. Anyways I'd say FF12 cause I played 15 hours so far and im pretty sure I only got 3% done.

I think Final Fantasy 7 is the longest game since it has 4 discs like final fantasy 9.

Probably Final Fantasy X considering all the side quests.but if not, the longest one is probably FFVIII.

FFX with sidequests takes pretty long, but it's quite short if you only do the main storyline. FF4 is sort of long, since there aren't that many sidequests to do in that game but the story is long, or it's just me. On the PSX and onwards, possibly FF7 has the longest story if only because of the very long cutscenes and stuff... or maybe, again, it's just me.

In my opinion, FFX is the longest not story wise what with all the monster capturing you can do in one game. Easily over 300 hours..

300 hours? Even with monster capture and getting ult weapons and stuff I was done in under 50. FFX-2 has to be longest due to some of the neverending mini-games and trials dungeon.

FF9 was quite fast going through the first 3 discs, it thens starts slowing down on the 4th disc but it still isn't as long as FFX-2!

ive gotten 100% on FFX-2 in 100 hours, its not THAT bad (if you have the guide with you =P)i havent captured all the monsters in FFX and didnt try so i dont know how long it takes for that

For me, It was Final Fantasy VII. More or less just because I did everything I could, and never consulted a walk through. Took me something like 20 hours alone just to get a golden chocobo. VIII took me a long time too, more or less just because I loved turning monsters into cards and fighting with them :D

FFX was pretty lnog with the side missions and stuff.the story wasnt too short either lol
