da strongest of all of dem is charizard u cnt beat him hes tooo crazy buh dum ash had to give him away arghhhhh he gives away all his gud pokemon and gets weaker ones no wonder he keeps losin and doesnt win any competion

Well, to throw everybody's guesses off, the true strongest pokemon is Blissey, it has the highest Def and HP, meaning it can take more damage than Mew, Dialga, Palkia, Charizard by far, and more strong than a freaking Wailord. That's saying a lot for a little pink thing that has no fingers....at all...but outside of that, I'd have to say any pokemon that a true trainer....well better than Sasithan, would be able to train a pokemon to be strong enough to beat any pokemon flat out.

I would say, in the RBY generation, that Alakazam, Exeggutor, and Starmie were the most dominant Pokémon. In GSC, there's really no contest - Snorlax is THE Pokémon to use and to build your team against. I wouldn't be qualified to talk about any later generations of Pokémon, though I have to say that the idea of a Pokémon, with otherwise strong stats and attacks, that is immune to Ground, Normal and Fighting seems pretty cheap to me (Gengar :p).My favorite Pokémon is Tentacruel, but he always seems to have troubles eking his way into competitive game.

Well, that list isn't based off base stats persay (Wobby has 410, Wynaut even fewer....and Slaking has 670), but these are the Pokémon that are banned in competitive/online play, right?

in my opinion the strongest pokemon are darkrai,giratina, and arceus they're definetly the new strongest pokemon ever

He's being sarcastic.In a similar sense, I was tempted to say that Koffing and Wigglytuff are the best Pokémon, in a nod to Azure Heights, one of the big centers for online competitive play.

i got a baby charmander in it and it had pokerus from level five so it was horribly strong, hitting the 450 mark on attack at level 74

Raikou is considered legendary. Legendary Pokemon are usually the ones that appear only once in the game.Dragon Pokemon are very strong because they are resistant to so many things, but they are easily taken down by ice. Especially a Pokemon like Dragonite or Salamence, which are both doubly weak against ice so I would not say they are the strongest. Mewtwo is very strong (I believe stronger even than Mew) but does have his own weaknesses and would also count as a legendary so would not count hereSalemence and Raikou isn't a legendary,see the LeafGreen/FireRed Pokedex!
There is no universally strong Pokemon, which is why we have teams.

all of the evee eveloution types,blaziken, gengar, and marshstomp um for there type and atacks they got marshstomp because it can use mud atacks so it reduces thunder damage <it's weakness no duh> but can still get hurt by grass,gengar because he is ghost and ground atacks dont hurt hima nd shadowball/psychic do tons of damage and many other reasons i say they are the best
