No...It can screw up the system(or so I've heard) and there's really no point, since it stays connected to the internet.

you don't leave it on 24/7, it just stays connected to the internet, and it doesn't make the amount of money in your electricity bill go up at all

Even if using full processing power, the wii doesn't take over 20 watts. compare to 186 for an xbox360, 199 for a ps3, 60~ watts for a lightbulb and 209 for your computerif you leave the system flat out on(green light), it idles at around 14 wattsIf you have it off but on WiiConnect(orange light), it takes about 10 wattsand if you have it completely off(red light), it takes 1.3 watts( Source: http://www.hardcorew...eview-356-1.htm )

I have before, but only by accident. I usually just turn it off and unplug it when I'm not playing with it.The electricity bills, like everyone said, would be crazy.

That is the stupidest question I have ever heard. Maybe on standby but according to that other guy about the kilowatts it would not make much of a difference leaving it on standby so it would also get really annoying to plug and unplug and stuff

Sort of - I leave it in standby mode. That way I can charge my ipod off the usb port too.

I don't see why anybody would leave it on 24/7. There's no point, it just wastes energy.

I always turn it off, I just don't like the idea of it on all the time and heating up. The Wii doesn't consume a lot of energy so I wouldn't be too worried.

i have not shut my wii off meaning pulled the cable sense the day i got it. I leave it in the standby mode and it never got hot once. and it doesn't even eat all that much energy or burnout the system. And if you are consirned about ur electricity with the wii, i suggest getting a good power strip as well. The monster ones actually do save u a bit of money so u wouldnt need to worry about the wii as much. (standby mode does not overheat or even heat the wii watso ever)

No just turn it off when i finish using it. Sometimes if you leave the Wii on too much it gets too hot.
