I leave it plugged in, but at the red light, because that is prefectly safe, and uses little t no electricity anyway. Keeping it on the yellow light is stupid though, it will overheat eventually, you'll get this weird tiled effect on the graphics, though if you leave it on(green) long enough it'll fix the problem itself with the fan.

If you mean like...kinda-off......that's how mine stays, but I think it uses up little electricity then, like $10/month.

whenevre i;m not using it i will switch off at wall, its stupid the way it doesnt have a proper power switch though to turn it proplerlly off rather than at the wall, it can be awkward sometimes!! very stupid flaw i think because the batter pack gets hot if you leave it on standby, my brother did that and i felt the pack and it was sizzling after 2 days being left on standby! well of technically!

i always make sure i unplug in when i'm not using it, but i don't really know how much energy it would actually waste leaving it on standby

My wii turns on a yellow light when im done with it. So i don't know if that counts as staying on or not. I think it just might be connected to the internet.

Why would you leave it on 24/7? That's just torturing the little device and Mother Earth! If it's for laziness, think of the effort you have to spend earning the money to cover the electricity bill and getting a new Wii when your current one overheats. For me, I just turn it off at the source every time I'm not using it, just can't bear risking my console overheating.

All I do is turn the system/wii off using the button on the wii remote. Other than that I don't pull out the cord, so technically my wii is on 24/7 :gs:

Not me. When I or my siblings are finished with it, we make sure it is unplugged and in way powered 'On' [including Stand-By]. There's no point to having it on when you're not using it. Some people wouldn't get it unless they were the ones paying the Electricity Bills.
