If they made a FF fighting game, then i would think that it would be awesome.Just as long as they add most of the characters from the FF franchise in it (some of the characters were bad though).anyways, back to the subject, the fighting system should be either like Soul Caliber or Super Smash bros.

Yeah an FF fighting game that plays like SMB would be GREATas long as they dont include any Japanese Pop stars in it ( like Gackt on DoC FF7)

That is a cool idea but I would like that they come up with a good history line that justify they meeting all together.. no just the crap of all the figthing games"They reunite to decide the best fighter of the world"Exepct for perhaps that airhead of Zidane nobody in the FF world will enter into a interdimensional fight for such a empty reason

they did i 4got wat it was called but it was only relased in Europe for the PS1 and it featured all the characters from FF1-7

No, they didn't. First of all, Square-Enix is a Japanese company, why would there be a game for Europe only? If anything, it would be a Japan-only game. Second, if they really made a game like that, everyone would've heard about it. Lastly, the only fighting game that features Final Fantasy characters is Ehrgeiz.they did i 4got wat it was called but it was only relased in Europe for the PS1 and it featured all the characters from FF1-7

Isn't it time Square just bundled up all Final Fantasy characters in a massive beat 'em up game, similar to Super Smash Bros.??I mean, come on, it was already a whole lot of fun to see Cloud and Seph on Ergheiz, couldn't they come up with something in the like for the PS3? I think it would be fairly profitable, if they did a good job, and seriously, they have quite a menu of interesting characters that would fit nicely against each other. Kingdom Hearts got me wondering on this one.. I loved how Cloud and Squall fought together, it was magical.Sorry if there's already a topic on this, I couldn't find one anyways.

Ergheiz is a sweet fighting game and i think Final Fantasy fighting game would be sooo cool ....lol pick as the summons too fight as now that would be soo sweet .This is just an idea, no expectations whatsoever, but. For the love of all that's holy do NOT make another FF game. They do RPGs best, and even those have been all crappy remakes that didn't need to happen, lately. If they make a FF fighting game I'll never buy anything from Square-Enix again.

I'd say if Squenix were to make an FF Fighter game they'd better have use the SSB engine or something like that (if they can come up with something similar or maybe better?) then the chances of people actually enjoying it could be pretty high. I don't own a GameCude myself but DAMN SSB is hawt and fun to play.They should also add characters from similar games as secret/unlockable characters after achieving a certain goal.Bosses like Kefka, Sephiroth and Vayne shouldn't start off as characters you already have, otherwise that would suck.I don't know how Ergheiz is because I never got the chance to play it.But the idea of Squenix making a SSB-style FF fighter game would be sweet, though not enough to get my hopes high (unless some info happened to leak).

personally i think it's not gonna work out.......maybe it would....but square enix doesn't produce those type of game....but if we was talking about capcom(i think it's right)than im pretty sure you'll see alot of final fantasy fighting games

My friends and I have only dreamed of a final fantasy fighting game. I think that if each character had there own advantages and weaknesses then it would be completely fair, the only problem is how do certain characters work, take FF5 with job classes, I would love to be Galuf but they would have to limit him to a set amount of abilities and that would take away some of the fun that job classes offered. Other than that there would be far too many characters; think of how many characters there where in the whole series and you can't just limit it to the main characters either because what if I want to Laguna(sp) from FF8. It would end up being more like the Dragonball series games than a super smash brothers with 100 something characters. After all that is done what about limit breaks and all that good stuff since FF7 that made it possible to decimate bosses; Omnislash anyone, I don't think too many characters would live through that. Anyway that is just a tip of the iecburg image the magic and summoning systems that would be created. People who think and want it to be like Smash brothers are limiting the possibilities of a series that has almost none as a whole.

actually those who thinks that it will never happen or those who says Square-enix dosent make games of FF outside the RPG well:Theres a game in PS1 called Ergheiz and it has all character of FF7 (exept barret) and its a fighting game.and theres a board game of FF already in japan for ps2 (like Mario party)and in that game you can see characters of FF7,8,9,10 and some of Dragon quest.ALSO a LONG time ago i ve seen some screens of Ergheiz 2 for japan (i think for ps2)but idk what happened with it, i cant see it anymore in gamespot nor IGN.and yes i do think that a new fighting game of FF should be released once again.P.Ssometimes i think there should be a Square-enix vs Capcom (or marvel)

they hav ff 13???"just" final fantasy characters? Theres like over 30... from FF1- FF13, + the movie characters from FF: AC...hehe.. Sephiroth could have his theme song and level playing "Sefiroth Sefirot something something Sefiroth"It should also be for the Nintendo Wii =)

a Fighting game of FF wont screw the series... remember that there are other games with Final Fantasy with other names, for example "Crystal Chronicles" or "Tactics" (and that mario party game like that i dont remember)specially Kingdom Hearts!! they are NOT the in the series and they did NOT screwed the series either.Storyline? who cares, rarely a person who plays a fighting game is interested a story line...Look at super smash bros. WHY is there a game where Mario goes and fight Link or pikachu goes and fight kirby?and why the hell is solid snake here!?!?!?!?!?! He is not even in nintendo now!!!!!!We dont care!!!!!! we just love it!!!!!!So i do believe that an FF fighting game wont affect anything, on the contrary it will make square-enix more popular than it is since now we can see/use our fav FF character in action once again and not in our memories.
