Byakko doesn't really have a weakness. The first time Kuwabara beats him he just couldn't hold all of Kuwabara's spirit energy. And the second time Kuwabara beats him he punches him into magma. And both times Byakko survives to finally killed by Seiryu the third saint beast. He finally died that time because he was frozen and then smashed into pieces.

I belive he used his life force. which in a later episode yuske uses as an idea to deffeat another enemy.

I don't remember why he doesn't die other than the fact that he just doesn't, but the next place they fight is at a lava pit(or magma pit if you want to get technical) with a bunch of pillars sticking up from the pit.

Byakko doesn't die from Kuwabara's enrgey because he's absorbing it. Unless you mean when he couldn't handle it anymore and he exploded and fell down like 100 stories. I'm going to say that he's a kitty and he has nine lives for that one though. And the next place the two fight is the magma pit like SapphireDragon said.

He would punch himself in the stomach and burp up a blast of air which has enough force to knock down the pillars(and probably hurt you pretty good if it hit you).

I just remembered. At least I think they mentioned it. The blast is a ball of major vibrations, and whatever it hit it would vibrate it so hard it would shatter it no matter what it was. Obviously, anyone would want to avoid this at all costs.

Kuwabara kept jumping from pillar to pillar trying to avoid getting hit by the blasts. Byaku destroyed all the pillars Kuwabara jumped on which resulted in him getting trapped on one pillar without anywhere to jump to next.
