okay guys, if you don't mind, I've got a few questions about the ez flash iv phat, which i got in mail today and got it up and running in like no time (thanks, excellent guide here!!) and patched a few gba games into it through the ez client programme. (i intend to use it mostly for gba roms, i got my m3 simply for nds roms)My questions are:1) How do you get a new skin for it? Can you download from trusty sites and port them in, and where on the card do you put the skin files on? Also, will the old skin file be overwritten?2) What kind of rom's do the ez flash iv phat support? I know gba of course, but do it also support game cube format, nes, or other nintendo formats?edit:3) Also - i can see that the ez flash iv cart got a battery on the circuit board, i am assuming it got to do with saves. does this battery ever wear out and has to be replaced after a time?
Question 1.you can get skins from the official ez flash iv skin thread, and yes the old skin is overwritteni have posted some of the pics already.here is the one i use.

go here for download links with pictures.
http://ezflash.sosuk.../about2283.html(some of these have ds loader skins only some of them have gba skins you need to check)instructions for installing skins on all 4 models of ez flash iv.Downloaded EZSkinner and the DS skin.Put the EF4 Kernel (ezfla_up.bin) in the EZSkinner folderOpened the Skinner program and skin it. put files on micro sd card.2. The ez flash iv only supports NDS and GBA roms, on that note to play gba roms please update your gba database, you also need to update your NDS database but since you are not playing DS roms then please update your GBA database here.
http://ezflash.sosuk...88-0-asc-0.htmlAnd as for you question, about gamecube, you of course know that a gamecube is faster and stronger then a ps2 right? The Ez flash iv can play nes, snes, genesis, arcade roms though.you will need to download 3rd party software for it though.for example if you wanted to play snes on your ez flash iv you would need to download SNEmulDS
http://news.gbatemp....SNEmulDSv04.zipdownload and patch with dldi and create a folder named SNES on your micro sd card and place your snes roms on it.dont forget to rename SNES.nds to SNESmul.bin (the ez flash needs you to rename homebrew to .bin to run)to play the systems i listed above you will need to find emulators for them, most are supported by ez flash3.the battery recharges itself and yes it can run out after a while if you dont use it, but dont worry your saves wont be lost, your saves are saved on the micro sd or mini sd, the battery is to help your saves from being lost if you power off your ds real fast.
I just recently purchased an EZFlash V cartridge along with the expansion pack for it. I can't seem to get the rumble feature to work, I'm having issues connecting to Wi-Fi(internet), non-game ROMs aren't saving properly, and the DS browser freezes shortly after loading (It might mean the expansion pack functionality isn't working). Does anyone else have any of these problems? I've tired to hybrid tool as well and I'm not having luck. I've also tried both FAT and FAT32 filesystems.

http://www.ezflash.c...idtool-v102.rarAdding a GBA ROM to the Triple-pack * Download a recent version of EZ4-Client and unzip it to your PC * Double-click EZ4_client.exe to start the program * Click the 'Configure' button * Change the send path to your SD card reader drive * Click 'OK' to exit the configuration screen * Click the 'Open' button. This will display the ROM file chooser window. * Highlight your GBA ROM and click the 'Open' button * Check the 'ROM Name' text field in the top left hand corner. Enter a name if this text field is blank. * Ensure the 'Add Save Patch' checkbox is ticked * Click the 'Send button'. The ROM will patched and copied to your MicroSD card. It will appear as 'ROM name.gba' * A folder called 'SAVER' will also appear on your MicroSD card. You will need to manually add '.SAV' to your savegame file if you want to copy it back to the EZ-Flash V Triple-pack.
