Old games. It took me and me brother4 months to get to the end boss of ninja gaiden. We kill him then died on the "secret" last boss, then cried and cried and never played again.

No, I believe older games were more difficult.Pokemon: get a monster, kill other monsters, get badges.yu-gi-oh: get a deck, battle other peoplenow this is an older gameFire Emblem Thrakia 776: Difficult. Hard bosses that have some tricks up their sheelve (I know that from experience ...Poor leaf O,o). Not to mention the bonuses from the terrain, making it harder to hit a unit. Plus the main character must be brought into battle and must survive, making it harder because Leaf sucks.Still havn't beaten this game either and I downloaded it a month ago -_-

Older games were deffinatly harder! Those games were made to use 100% accurate timing! If you jumped too soon you jumped into the pit if you jumped to late you fall into the pit! If you didn't swing your sword or through your joust! After one hit you died!

Old games are definitely harder. And one such game is Legend of Zelda: Link to the past. It gave me a headache during some of the later dungeons.

yes, old games had so little detail that the challenges were one-dimensional. "get this item" "beat this boss" the hardware that new games run on makes greater challenge possible

I think new games are much harder because with the new technology.........the games become much more advance and challenging.

No Question about it. New games are way harder than older games. No, actually, old games were very hard and much harder than new games. I've made my mind, old games. It's like on Super Mario Bros for Nes. You get 3 lives to beat the whole game. Old Games.

Old games are harder for the most part... the difficulty curve was upped not only by simplistic controls and hardware, but also deliberately to make the game last, since you couldn't put as much into a NES cart as you can into a DVD! The fact that most games have complex stories and several tutorial sequences also means you don't really find yourself confused on what to do, either.

Either, you've played the hardest new games, or the easiest old games. No Offense.

Old games are definitely harder. While, I have been able to beat SMB1,2, and 3, Lost Levels (aka SMB2 in Japan) is very tough, especially the second play-through O_o. If ANYONE here has played Battletoads, no game of today will beat the insanity that is this. One thing about new games is that they are very easy but offer extra challenges that make it more difficult. Regardless, older games are tough as a whole (not just extras if there is).

The older games are much harder because they did not have as much memory storage as the newer games, therefore they had to make the levels harder because there were not as many of them

Old games are harder because they dropped you into the game without any explanation of what to do or where to go. Compare the start of the original Legend of Zelda to the ones you have today.

Some old games were very brutal in terms of difficulty. Today's games are more user-friendly. As well, many of today's games have difficulty modes. So it depends.

Really, what is the point of making new games that are easier? Is everyone suddenly getting stupider?
