I can see why they would want to have the price so hight, considering how inexpensive the Wii is, however, it is not a very good thing for us Wii owners.

Not going to lie they are a bit expensive they should sell both for a good price like 35$ to 40$ then i be a bit more happier

wiimote and nunchucks set is $60 where i live then it $20 for the classic i think games stuff is getting pricey no a days.

i got 2 wiimotes and 2 nunchucks and the rechargeable batter i dont need a classic controler im not buy nes games besisdes the remotes are expensive

Yeah, they really are really expensive. >.>I actually bought Wii Play just to get the remote. And the game was just 20 dollars. o-o Controller > Game? I don't think so >.>To play some games, you need a whole $60 (if the Wii didn't come with controllers) just to paly, and thats worth more than a game. >.>

There is also the fact that more money is made by selling them individually.the nunchuck and Wiimote is seperate because not all games requir the use of the nunhcuck. imagine if u just wanted a second player in y elebits or excote truck, why should u have to shell out for the nunchuck when u dont need it, just get the Wiimote by itself.think people think, its all to do with saving us money

Well, considering the speaker, accelerometer, and 1024x768 (if I'm not mistaken) IR camera, which is extremely high resolution, $40 is very justified. $20 for the nunchuk isn't that bad either.
