i agree with anyone who said brock's rock gym in pokemon yellow. where you had to have pikachu and other than that the only pokemon you could get on the way were caterpi and pigy. That was tough.

i'd go for pickachu vs. brock's pokemon in yellow version, you'd probably go looking for a fighting pokemon to fight him

in my opinion the hardest would have to be the first gym (rock) in yellow version where all you have to start with is pikachu.

i think the girl with the steel type in pokemon gold(same with crystal and silver) cause i always pick chikorita or totodile and i don't have to much fire type pokemons,and in Ruby and Saphire the normaltype gym and the flying type gym,they are just kinda hard

Pewter City in Yellow Version. Almost impossible. I was like "How the heck am I supposed to beat him?! All I got is a level 12 Pikachu and a level 8 Pidgey!"

To me, it will be Psychic in Red&Blue&Yellow Version because Bug attacks were so infrequent back then, and Lick wasn't strong enough. Nowadays I think that Psychic's gotten easier because of Bite. For me, nothing seems tough anymore.

for me, it's the gym using water type pokemons.. because i usually take the fire pokemon starter like charmander..

Actually if you use Blaziken/ Breloom it's quite easy. but then i have so much trouble on the 6th gym without a Magnetric.i say that the normal gym is the hardest because Norman's pokemon have so much HP and ATK

red=Brock and his rock pokemonyellow= brock and Blairgold/silver - whitneycrystal-whitney/dragon gymruby/sapp - the third gym he always killed me :/emerald - the fourth gym leader with overheat :/Diamond- the ghost gym her driftblim was annoying

Most are easy, the only things that have ever been hard for me are grass, as I mainly use water type pokemon.

the Psycho Gyms were the hardest and i defeated gym leader
In crystal version Whitneys milktank was very difficult unless you completely out leveled her. I started with Cyndaquil it was on level 20 and it evolved (Quilava) and The milktank was on 22. Tha thing kilt me in one hit.

the elite members of the game! i always have problem dealing with them in my first attempt, unless i'm pretty sure of their pokemons and tt my level is adequately high enough

i think either Mistys gym on Blue and Red because at the start there were no Electric pokemon untill later in the game, so you couldnt us her weakness to faint her pokemon easily

In yellow the hardest gym was the first, because your forced to take pikchu at the start and the only pokemon that doesn't suck against rock that you can get then is mankey. In g/s and crystal whitney was hardest because her cow's rollout was incredibly powerful, especially against fire.

I hate that guy...in Silver/Gold,he with the ghost pokémons,he's really hard for me,beacause I like to start with Chicorita and then when I have Bayleef/Meganium,he still defeats me,and I don't like the twins in Ruby/Sapphire,but they are really easy if you have a strong grass pokémon or a water pokemon,that's really effective on them,I think that their pokémons are Psychic/Ground,but one of them has a fire attack and knows Solar Beam,so be careful~But as I said,I think that the Ghost dude in Silver/Gold is the hardest ever
