right now, nvidia is on top of the market, but its only just a matter of time before ati catches up.personally though, to me its a matter of quality. ive owned a few nvidias, and theyve actually choked up on me (hardware-wise) a few times. and, if youre not talking about bleeding edge tech, ati seems to have much better support for drivers, etc.

Its ALWAYS going to be a back and forth battle, one comes out with one amazing card, the next month the other does. Personaly in for ATI, and dont ask me why either : ]

no one company make generally *better* cards than the other. Whilst at the moment nvidia seem to have the market cornered, ATI also have many underrated offerings at the table as well. (read Radeon HD 3870)

I prefer Nvidia... I have a Geforce 8800 GTS and I have nothing to say against it... And with a Intel Core 2... I can play every games on the market right now with all setting to the top.

I have a RadeonX1950 SUPERPRO.. 512mb. It's awesome =]With the new nvidia lineup, complete with SLI and all, I think ATI is going to get heavy competition. If you have money, go for nVidia and get two SLI Graphics cards and hook em up. If not, then stick with ATI as they still do have top notch performance for it's lower price.

Dual 512mb 8800 GT own everything hands down. And you can get them around $700 for both.

I'm running an ATI Radeon x1900GT currently. I'll be upgrading to either a Radeon HD3850, or whatever it's replacement is either at the end of the year, or this time next year, which is when I get my new PC.

Well it really depends on personal preference and costs really....if you check some comparisons, ATI are better in some games, and nVidia in others

Alright i have previously used both types of cards and i have to tell you, nvidia wins it in my book. Geforces are all around better than the radeons as far as performance and from what i have seen price too. :shifty:

Nvidia for me all the way... Although ATI have come very far by being the direct competitor of Nvidia for such a long time.

i've been using nVIDIA for years~! and I don't really have any problem with it.. (except for some low end cards that was made from certain company <_< )but I still wanna see myself the difference between nVIDIA and ATI instead of hearing from other people.. so i buy an ATI card and using it for my new system.. i tried both on Lineage II (the ATI card are middle end pci-e and the nVIDIA card is a low end agp) and notice there's a slight difference in quality and performance when I set all the graphic feature to high.. there's something that I'm not satisfy in the ATI performance but dunno how to explain it :doom: so.. in my opinion.. nVIDIA still better for some reason.. :doom: maybe someone can show better comparison with both high end card XD
