Nvidia all the way. I've had some heat problems with an ATI card. But of course, thats the manufacurer's issue.

I think any one is fine as long as the stats on it are good. 512 mb. pci express or something. a regular 128 pci card is not good enough (even though thats what i have...)

I have an eVga 7600gt by nVidia. I used to have an ATI 9250 (sucks i know) but i switched to nVidia instead of ATI cuz i think that nVidia has more stable drivers than ATI.

nvidia has the more superior product right now in terms of support and raw power...however, they take a serious hit on vista.

I use a Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS 512MB because I couldn't find a higher quality one at the store and my computer has an AGP slot.

There's a few 7600GT agp's out. I also heard that the performance from the x1650pro was lackluster, as it is just a product refresh of the x1600xt.I personally have a 7600GS agp installed in this computer.

I've had both brands frequent my PC but due to ATi's lack of DX9 PCI cards I've been using nVidia for a while. It wasn't until rather recently that ATi released their line of DX9 PCI cards. I feel bad now because I bought a lower end 6200 when I could of got an X1300 for nearly the same price as my 6200.

You can never say that one company is just better, ever. The situation is always changing, even within one generation, prices can change a lot and might make ATi the better choice for some people and nVidia better for others. It all depends on your price segment and situation.

I have an ATI card in my machine, just because of my personal preference. And plus, the card was only $30. My old ATI Radeon 7000 had died, and i'd rather not use my old S3 card for much longer, so i have an ATI Radeon 9550 now.

that is an extremely hard question to answer. It really depends on what your preference is. The best thing to do is check out benchmarks on certain games with whatever card you want Check this link for good benchmark infoVGA Benchmarks
