Maybe Majora's Mask is not as epic and long as Ocarina of Time was, but it has the exact same great gameplay, a good enough story and an interesting time system, not to mention the BIG amount of sidequests there is(to get all the masks). So why do you people hate Majora's Mask?

because OoT pwns it hahahaOoT was just a more fun game in general and im going to say its easier too

Though it's true OoT was better, I still think Majora's Mask is an interesting game. Time system is unique and there are loads of puzzling side quests that keep you busy for quite an amount of hours. It may not have such a good storyline as most other Zelda games, but it's a fun world full of quests and games. It's just a slightly different type of game than the others, and sometimes people don't like things that didn't turn out the way they expected. Maybe that's why some people hate Majora's Mask. o.O

It was okay but I thought it was a little short and the 3 day thing made me kinda mad.

There are a few reasons why people dislike Majora's Mask.Possibly it could be:The three day time limit.Or not being able to save at certain points.

I don't hate it. It's actually a pretty good game. Ocarina of time is just better.

Being a former anti-MM fanI found it too different but ovr the summer i sat down and had a goal to defeat all of the zelda games.I couldnt over look MM so i sat down played it and now I love it.Why I originally disliked it1. The time limit kinda made me anxious and i just couldnt get it done and2.I FOUND IT TOO DIFFERENT3.the save system was stupidLooking back on that I feel retarded that I neglected such an amazing game for years. It went so deep that an 8 year couldnt fully get it(me at the time i got it).But thats why people hate it.to those people I would say give it another chance^_^p.s I still like OOT more though

I never understood why people hated it either. I loved the masks and impending doom.

Majora's Mask has always been a kind of mystery to me. It's really hard compared to OoT and nothing can ever beat OoT's perfectness on my scale. Still, it's a nice game and the moon is scary looking :awesome:

the reson why i think people hate it (not me thoe i loved it) is that they recycled every npc in oot in fact some for them didnt even have new names

Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game in the series. I think in this instance it is a matter of taste and what you like about Zelda games. It was a very different and strange step away from the previous games way of storytelling and the way you play the game. But I think they succeded. Given that some of the side quests to find all of the masks were rediculously difficult, it was so worth it to see the most bad-ass Link in the series, Oni Link (or Fierce Diety, whatever you like to call him.) But if your one who dosn't like change in your franchises and trying something different I can see how many Zelda fans didnt like it.

When I first played Zelda, I played the Majora's mask game, and loved it. It got me hooked onto playing the rest of the games, even though I haven't yet. I love it, I can't see why anybody would hate it.

I really didn't understand the game at my age when I got it. I still played it often, and got angry ever time the moon smashed into me. >_>

Ocarina of Time was good, but just because it's better than Majora's Mask doesn't give a good reason to hate it. It was a very good game, it was just different

Majora's Mask is alot darker, and complex than games before it, the concept of "racing" against the clock, is also hard for long time zelda gamers to wrap the heads around. However, for those "real" zelda fans, the game is a gem, seriously, if a person doesn't like all the games, they aren't a fan, they are a poser.Oh, i should just note, that the moon has never ever crashed at anytime i've played through MM, but only your hardcore zelda gamers can claim that. hell, i beat twilight princess in under 24 hours solid play with all content collected.... and nintendo says there is over 50 hours gameplay minimum (liars)

shortness doesnt take away the greatness of the game, and this is the most obscure game in the zelda saga, i dont know how people dont try to like it by its goodness instead of hatin it because of its limits

I like to view Majora's Mask as an 'Expansion Pack'. It is not an enjoyable experience unless you have recently played through Ocarina of Time. By doing this, the lack of storyline shouldn't be much of a problem.

Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

Exactly - it always seemed to me like it was a direct sequel to Ocarina. The last time I played through my Zelda games, I played Ocarina and Majora's Mask one right after the other and it felt like one long game.
