Heh... not really, but anybody else enjoying Okami more than they thought they would? Even though they read stellar reviews and thought it looked simply fantastic, anybody else having more fun with it then they thought they would? Or is anybody not enjoying it as much as they thought they would? Your comments please

ah i see, yes i would totally reccomend it, i asked for it for christmas along with final fantasy 12, and i got final fantasy 12 but not okami, so once i beat final fantasy 12 (simply outstanding game in my opinion) i picked up okami, i found it for cheap too, and i am loving it, the art direction is beautiful, the story is great, the gameplay is great, everything is great. The only thing i was kind of worried about was the difficulty, cuz i read it was really quite easy, and it is, however it honestly does not bring down the game at all, i never once found myself wishing it was a harder game, even though i usually do like a challenging game.

If you thought it looked cool in a magazine then you honestly havn't seen anything yet, still images don't do it justice at all, its incredibly beautiful in motion.

It's a good game, but unless you can change drawing in prespective, it can be kinda hard. I got mad at some of the "road blocks" which require pin-point precision.Other than that, it is a welcome addition to my game library.

Yes I will actually have to agree with you on that j0j0b0y. Those "road blocks" as you called them could be a royal pain and made me curse a couple of times... however they are very uncommon, and those have been the only part i dislike so far. I'm not finished the game, i'm about 17 hours in, when you turn tiny.

I've been really wanting to play this game, I've heard great things and it looks wonderful. Tho I wanna know if it is worth getting, I don't get to get many games so I mainly only like to get ones which a large amount of gameplay hours, rather than a game which is just fun but is short.

Okami is really great. I beat it once and now I'm going through and getting all of the stray beads. The characters and art are really awesome. ^^ I love the way that you can terrorize the villagers with the brush techs and headbuts XD

It was really fun, and I enjoyed it. I honestly didn't find anything spectacular about it though.

What about the brush? That was really cool. And the graphics...the graphics were wonderful. Everything was so...picturesque. The scenery is beutiful and everything is visually interesting. I really liked the restoration sequences when you revived a tree too. So preeety.... ^^

Yes, I know I am enjoying Okami too much when at 3AM (night) I'm still playing the game instead of sleeping, causing my day work a lot much harder !Okami is one of the few poetic games I ever played (Valkyrie Profile is the other one I remind of, there may be others, but at the moment, I forgot ! ). The graphics are stunning, but it is more about the whole ambiance, meaning the music, the details such as the trailing Amateratsu makes (flowers follow the god-hero), the magic of giving life back to nature and such and many other things. It also incarnates very well the Japanese mythology while not being too trendy. Ssometimes intense and serious, sometimes funny, I encountered many emotions while playing the game (having just started).Definitely one of my best PS2 games.Too bad Clover (the studio that made Okami) is no more, at least no more in the Capcom group, they will surely make another studio and develop such brilliant games, but that is off-topic.

alas, that will never be. Clover, the company that created this awesome game, (among many others) has been liquified...sad day indeed for those of us who loved getting praise points for drawing a circle around a tree....-jason

I'm playing it right now, as it seems. Great game, makes me think of the Zelda games but with a completely different style.I would have beaten it by now, but I lost my old save file. It'll only take me a day or so to get back to where I was, though (right after you get the brush technique that latches onto those blossom things).
