The bug pokemon are usually the easier ones to train, and when they are fully evolved, they can help you when you are in a pinch against trainers early on. Although they are useless after beating a couple of gym leaders...

Your starter is usually faster than the others. Bug pokemon level up faster, and evolve quicker too.Torchic is also quite easy, though. Having fire, flying and fighting attacks.

Yea, Abra and friends level EXTREMELY quickly and they get stronger faster and with Alakazam and Kadabra's SP. Atk and Speed going through the roof at level 30 it can 1-hit Ko(Psychic) a level 45 pokemon [ive done it before]

Sandslash used to give me criticals all the time while using slash, after a few levels it was unstoppableSo I guess that was the fastest one (for ol' pokemon blue)

For some reason, my Marowak on Fire Red Version seemed to level up so much faster than any others.. has anyone else found this with any pokemon?

For me, Charmander is really easy to train in LeafGreen.

Basicly i think the pokemon you like levels the easiest,, or just the one you can handle the best,,Not game-technically ofcourse,, but leveling pokemon I dont like makes me sleepy and turn off the VBA/GBAI personally think the starters level the best,, i always use them anyway,, since Silver and Gold they are more rounded so you don't get the feeling to switch them out,, (:P my lv 99 Typhlosion) :P
