I had an original (larger) edition PS2 for about 2 - 2.5 years before it started to die (and scratch my game CDs, too!!! ). I then bought a slim edition PS2 (about 3 years ago) & it still works perfectly. TECHNICALLY the original PS2 prolly still works, but I wasn't about to chance scratching more games. (I had to buy another copy of at least 2 games b/c of it!)

I DO Njot have a PS2 but my Friend has it and we share it as we treat us as Bro's and his(or mine) PS2 is 2 1/2 years!

I got mine around a month after it came out. I still have it, but it doesnt work all that well. Just recently like 6 monts ago i got the newer type ps2.
