Anybody else hate it when Americans act like they're better than the general population for playing their games in Japanese despite their handicap of not really knowing Japanese? Well, as an American, I hate it too. I only play my games in English. I don't care how great the graphics are, or riveting the plot is; if it's not in English, I won't be able to navigate myself through the game and see even more of those nice graphics and story. It's cool to challenge yourself or to test your skills by playing in a language you're not very familiar with, but all the Americans I know just "play" (i.e., stumble through) Japanese-language games in an effort to make themselves look better than they really are. Those kinds of elitist Americans remind me of the same ones who hate Westernized Anime.

Nope, I haven't played a game on the GBA in another language. If I did play games in other languages, the only genre that I wouldn't play would be RPGs because if I can't understand what the people are saying in that game, then I won't understand the plot of the game at all. >_>

I played one of the Naruto roms in Japanese. I think it was the one that looked like Final Fantasy Tactics...so Naruto Konoha Senki or something...? Anyway, it was quite simple once you started playing, you just guess where everything is and test stuff and you eventually know what stuff are(if you watched the anime or manga, it helps too). I probably know 90% of the whole game now and how it works lol.

i've played a few games in Japanese even though i can't understand any of it. Prince of Tennis would be an easier one to understand because its in Japanese with (sort of) english words for some translation and well, there isn't really much conversation in the game. Another would be rockman.exe , this was a gift from my uncle so i started playing it. I couldn't understand any of it so i went to a guide to find out the translations. The Fire Emblem (FE8: sacred stone i think) version i played was also in Japanese but i am still playing it because its got the same button order as my english version of the game ( different version is this is the plain fire emblem which is in english)
